Haylieread was asked to take these two bathrooms stuck in the 1980s and transform them into a spa-like experience. HaylieRead said no problem! The use of neutral tiles with pops of texture added depth and created the tranquil vibe. All plumbing fixtures were updated with beautiful warm metals with customizable sprays. To finish it off HaylieRead used statement pieces throughout to create moments of interest and ease function.

Purchasing a beach condo has been our client's dream since she was little. It was important to us that we capture her dream and create a condo that made her feel at home. In the moments when her family would not be staying there, it is also being rented out as a vacation property so finding elements that were not only stylish but also durable was crucial to the overall design and styling of this space. Mixing style with functionality. We kept the original ceiling in the living room as well as the original cement accent wall in the living room. Everything else was changed. A window was added to the stair wall so that as you walk downstairs, you get a view of the ocean. The walls were painted a barely-there minty seafoam color and we stuck with a neutral color palette with pops of various shades of blues.

Client wanted to update their kitchen but wanted to incorporate their original cabinets, which were a blonde wood. They wanted to lighten the kitchen and so we did a white satin finish on the cabinets, installed a grey glazed subway tile backsplash, got ride of the old pick floor tile and laid a grey/brown porcelain tile that grounds the kitchen and breakfast areas very nicely. Under cabinet lighting for a little shine as well as give a functional element for cooking. Added two new shiny chrome industrial pendant lights. Also the double sided fireplace got a redesign. The old outdated mantle that stuck out way too far into the walkway was removed and in its place is now a custom mantle with a mini brick slate tile insert. Arches we added to the walkways to give more architectural detail that is found in other areas of the home.

Designed by Mark Sleith of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Falls Church, VA in collaboration with Mike Parkinson, this eclectic style kitchen remodel features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Park Place door style in two finishes. The base cabinets all features the Norfolk Blue finish and the wall cabinet features a White finish. Kitchen countertops are engineered quartz by Q from MSI in the color Calacatta Trento. The tile backsplash behind the range features Artistic Tile with Blue Note Circles as well as a pot filler faucet. Said the client, "We are obsessed with our uber-chic new kitchen! The black leather chair features a contemporary silhouette with an antique brass frame. An adjustable desk lamp has bronze accents. The bookcase combines a sleek, black metal frame with concrete shelves, for another unusual pairing. It’s kept uncluttered for an orderly, peaceful look. Items on the shelves include a bronze-accented lamp and a pair of high gloss-finished wooden bookends. The elegant artwork behind the desk is a simple midnight-blue and bronze with mottled white. A pair of tall, matching floor lamps with long wooden bases, brass pulls and simple linen shades combine both the colors and symmetry found throughout the home.

The in-swing door from the guest bedroom made the already narrow bathroom feel even more cramped. By installing a pocket door at the guest bedroom, we immediately improved the flow and usability of the space. The shower was upgraded with handcrafted white subway tile and contrasting grout, creating a clean, tailored look that elevates the room. Thoughtful details—like discreet grab bars and a handheld shower on a slide bar—make the space adaptable and comfortable for guests of all ages. A marble mosaic floor sets a refined backdrop for the freestanding black vanity, while the cross-bar handles offer a nod to the past on these modern-day fixtures.

Amazing remodel of a large bathroom stuck in the early 2000s in terms of design. Stunning marble mosaic tile on the walls (shower back wall, tub surround walls, vanity back splash) partners with large format porcelain tile on the floors. A free standing tub has views of the trees outside and a wall mounted television set as well. The decorative light sconces mounted on the vanity mirrors compliment the plumbing fixture finish of burnished gold.

AVENTURA MAGAZINE selected our client’s luxury 5000 Sf ocean front apartment in Miami Beach, to publish it in their issue and they Said: Story by Linda Marx, Photography by Daniel Newcomb Light & Bright New York snowbirds redesigned their Miami Beach apartment to take advantage of the tropical lifestyle. WHEN INTERIOR DESIGNER JENNIFER CORREDOR was asked to recreate a four-bedroom, six-bath condominium at The Bath Club in Miami Beach, she seized the opportunity to open the rooms and better utilize the vast ocean views. In five months last year, the designer transformed a dark and closed 5,000-square-foot unit located on a high floor into a series of sweeping waterfront spaces and updated the well located apartment into a light and airy retreat for a sports-loving family of five. “They come down from New York every other weekend and wanted to make their waterfront home a series of grand open spaces,” says Corrredor, of the J. Design Group in Coral Gables, a firm specializing in modern and contemporary interiors. “Since many of the rooms face the ocean, it made sense to open and lighten up the home, taking advantage of the awesome views of the sea and the bay.” The designer used 40 x 40 all white tile throughout the apartment as a clean base. This way, her sophisticated use of color would stand out and bring the outdoors in. The close-knit family members—two parents and three boys in college—like to do things together. But there were situations to overcome in the process of modernizing and opening the space. When Corredor was briefed on their desires, nothing seemed too daunting. The confident designer was ready to delve in. For example, she fixed an area at the front door that was curved. “The wood was concave so I straightened it out,” she explains of a request from the clients. “It was an obstacle that I overcame as part of what I do in a redesign. I don’t consider it a difficult challenge. Improving what I see is part of the process.” She also tackled the kitchen with gusto by demolishing a wall. The kitchen had formerly been enclosed, which was a waste of space and poor use of available waterfront ambience. To create a grand space linking the kitchen to the living room and dining room area, something had to go. Once the wall was yesterday’s news, she relocated the refrigerator and freezer (two separate appliances) to the other side of the room. This change was a natural functionality in the new open space. “By tearing out the wall, the family has a better view of the kitchen from the living and dining rooms,” says Corredor, who also made it easier to walk in and out of one area and into the other. “The views of the larger public space and the surrounding water are breathtaking. Opening it up changed everything.” They clients can now see the kitchen from the living and dining areas, and at the same time, dwell in an airy and open space instead of feeling stuck in a dark enclosed series of rooms. In fact, the high-top bar stools that Corredor selected for the kitchen can be twirled around to use for watching TV in the living room. In keeping with the theme of moving seamlessly from one room to the other, Corredor designed a subtle wall of glass in the living room along with lots of comfortable seating. This way, all family members feel at ease while relaxing, talking, or watching sporting events on the large flat screen television. “For this room, I wanted more open space, light and a supreme airy feeling,” she says. “With the glass design making a statement, it quickly became the star of the show.”……. ….. To add texture and depth, Corredor custom created wood doors here, and in other areas of the home. They provide a nice contrast to the open Florida tropical feel. “I added character to the openness by using exotic cherry wood,” she says. “I repeated this throughout the home and it works well.” Known for capturing the client’s vision while adding her own innovative twists, Corredor lightened the family room, giving it a contemporary and modern edge with colorful art and matching throw pillows on the sofas. She added a large beige leather ottoman as the center coffee table in the room. This round piece was punctuated with a bold-toned flowering plant atop. It effortlessly matches the pillows and colors of the contemporary canvas. The guest bathroom was stuck in a design time warp. The vanity, fixtures, and tiling were all remnants of past trends that seemed tired and less appealing. The shower/tub combo lacked the allure and comfort. John recognized the value in a cohesive design language throughout his home and chose to extend the fresh, modern aesthetic established in the master bathroom to the guest bath. The outdated vanity was replaced with the stylish Sollid Value White Shaker cabinets, and the Fairy White Quartz countertops was installed, instantly brightening the room with their polished surface and crisp, clean lines. The mirrors upgrade was significant, with the Kohler Essential mirrors lending an expansive and luxurious feel, further accentuated by the Mencino bath lights casting a welcoming glow. The Kohler Archer Soaking Tub elevated the functionality while maintaining a uniform look. The same sophisticated tile choices adorned the shower walls and niche, tying the room's design neatly back to the aesthetic of the master bath.

This house is unrecognizable from what it used to look like. The house was stuck in the 70's. We brought it back to life and gave it an unexpected style for a cabin in Tahoe.

Corner shelves just stuck in the corner. Out they came. Notice the cheap solution for a door hinge. The work done by the previous owners was obviously done by a Carpenter or Handyman with no Design guidance or knowledge of how to improve his unimaginative solutions.

In this Kitchen, The customer wanted change the design and also make The Kitchen functional, before it was a pretty old style kitchen with drawers not coming (stuck) I recommend undermount drawer slides to fix the problem and of course give the desire design the customer wanted, which was shaker doors, and reface the old style to a more unique and functional Kitchen. and you seeing the result.

This homeowner had two goals: 1. Create a space with flow for entertaining. 2. Imbue it with flawless style. We helped them accomplish both. The high quality Medallion cabinetry holds it own with the polished Misterio Pental quartz on the island and the satin finish Mysore Black Pental quartz on the main counters. The farmhouse sink in the island allows the host to converse with guests while working at the sink instead of being stuck against a wall, and the bar seating allows guests to get comfortable while they enjoy their wine. The dry bar at the far end of the space makes wine and liquor storage look good while keeping the refreshments flowing at arm's reach.

Our homeowner’s kitchen felt stuck in the past with honey oak cabinets that were fading and dated. They were frustrated with limited functionality—especially having to keep their microwave on the counter, eating up valuable breakfast bar space. The cabinet above the refrigerator was practically unusable due to the door swing hitting the fridge hinge and its awkward reach. We stepped in with a refacing/new cabinet hybrid solution designed to improve both style and function. We removed the old, impractical cabinets and replaced them with custom, more functional units, creating the perfect spot for a countertop microwave while freeing up workspace. The remaining cabinets were refaced in Surf SuperMatte, complete with new transitional shaker-style doors and drawers in the same Surf SuperMatte finish for a cohesive, modern look. To complete the transformation, we replaced the old laminate countertops with stunning Calacatta Miraggio Seaglass Quartz paired with a matching full-height quartz backsplash, bringing a luxurious, seamless, and easy-to-clean surface throughout the kitchen. We also added smart storage solutions, including rollouts and a blind swing-out accessory, making it easier than ever to access items without digging through cabinets. Now, this kitchen is not only brighter and more beautiful but also perfectly tailored to the homeowner’s needs and daily life.

This bathroom at the end of the long hall used to be called, “the haunted bathroom,” and if you saw the before pictures you’d understand why, but they’re too scary so we can’t show them! This bathroom went through a complete metamorphosis. We swapped the location of the shower and vanity, removed the radiator and replaced it with a heated floor, removed a vent duct to keep the ceiling high, and removed very old and heavy plaster walls. Even the window is new. Because it’s a small bathroom with a shower that won’t be used often we opted for a wet room style shower. The custom built floating vanity by Leah of Saving Face Cabinetry is made of teak and coated in a marine grade finish. It boasts a utility sink and large amounts of storage, and it’s the treasure chest at the bottom of our sea of hand made ceramic tiles from Poland. Each tile is unique and makes the bathroom feel like a natural jewel at the end of the hallway. Like the booty in a treasure chest, we stuck with a brushed gold finish for all the bathroom’s accessories and plumbing fixtures. Once the bathroom renovation was complete, we set to work designing and actually painting the mural on the ceiling. We wanted it to have an antique fresco quality so the faded colors and the choppy blue outlines help it look like it’s been there for over a hundred years. It also made Anna feel like her back was 100 years old, but it was worth it!!
