The design is simple and modern, with floor to ceiling glazing along the rear, connecting the interior living spaces to the landscape. The design process was informed by building science best practices, including solar orientation, triple glazing, rainscreen exterior cladding, and a thermal envelope that far exceeds code requirements.

The La Calandria residence is a custom home situated in the heart of Los Angeles with views spanning all the way to Pasadena. The 2,234 square foot home has modern aesthetics including spanning views of the skyline below and consists of 4 spacious bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Our client proposed two adjacent homes on a downslope lot which required various civil and structural engineering services. Our structural design team designed the hillside home on piles which included permanent shoring techniques that saved the client a substantial amount of money by not resorting to temporary shoring which can add time and cost to the project pipeline. The stormwater on the site was managed and directed to Low Impact Development flow-thru planters which are required in the city of Los Angeles whenever you are adding or proposing over 500 sqft of construction. The planters serve as a filter for contaminants in the stormwater and are beneficial for recharging the ground water system. Whether you are entertaining a group of friends on the roof top deck or below in the garden, the La Calandria residence is a perfect fit for those wanting the peace of a hillside home while catching any of the major freeways within minutes.

Before the renovation, this country-style kitchen was perfectly functional – but perfectly bland. Flower wallpaper jumpstarted this makeover, while new Harvest Square Cherry Wellborn Cabinets, upgraded appliances, and a new large center island kept the momentum going. Bold use of dark quartz countertops, 16 x 16 Mannington Adura Century Pebble tile flooring, and a neutral beige backsplash (with Daltile Jewel Tide Beach Pebble tile accent) complete the look. While the square footage remained the same, an existing built-in desk and pantry were removed to accommodate new, substantial cabinet storage and a larger, reconfigured pantry with convenient pullouts. The new large center island was designed to house the new gas cooktop, allowing space for a built-in GE French Door Wall Oven.

This Encinitas home was completely remodelled and included a substantial addon. The French COuntry kitchen, being the heart of the home, increased to twice the original size and featured luxurious appliances and finishes.. Wooden cabinets, with beautiful glass front wrap the kitchen, while the dramatic island was designed to stand as a piece of furniture and is home to a magnificent cooktop. The extra wide peninsula has room enough for ample seating. Beautiful lighting, magnificent travertine flooring and ample cabinet space makes this kitchen a center hub for years to come..

Construction Progress | Lakefront Residence Progress view of the lake-facing elevation showing the residence substantially taking shape. While the overall architectural composition remains closely aligned with the original design visualization, the exterior colour palette evolved during the project from the lighter initial concept to the darker finished scheme now being constructed. The extensive glazing, strong horizontal forms, stone elements and relationship between the home and waterfront remain central to the original design intent.

One of our most substantial projects to date was this second-floor expansion. This family needed more space to spread out and decided the best way to get it was to add a new floor. The second floor includes two kids' bedrooms, a kids' bathroom, a master bedroom, a master closet, a master bath, a laundry closet, and a family lounge area. For the exterior, a new farmer's porch was added to the front along with a new stamped concrete walkway leading the front door. Around the back, we added a Juilet balcony off the family lounge area featuring steel cable rails and overlooking the backyard.

It’s not everyday one has the opportunity to design a Kitchen for a culinary virtuoso. This client’s passion to cook and subsequent time spent entertaining meant the new Kitchen needed to be highly functional. This upper Mission area home’s original Kitchen was dark and awkwardly laid out - leaving the family feeling weighed down and wasn’t inspiring to cook in. When it came to planning - we wanted to hear from the family on how they wanted the new space to feel. Their main request was that it be an entirely calm and serene place to come home to, as well as include all the bells and whistles for culinary creativity. The previous Kitchen (complete with Island featuring the universally dreaded ‘corner sink’.) has now been completely re-designed. Now the Kitchen features a stylish and practical Linear Island; with massive double basin sink, hidden dual spray Chrome Faucet, Recycling Station pullout, and Built-In Microwave. There is substantially more storage and function throughout including a hidden Appliance Garage providing a dedicated home with easy access to various Small Appliances and hidden Espresso Bar. We designed the new Kitchen to embrace a timeless and natural feel with classic shaker rail custom Cabinetry, striking wide-plank White Oak floors, hand crafted crackle glazed Backsplash tiles, and hidden under cabinet Electrical plugs and lighting.

At 2968 square feet, the Vale home is not only spacious, but provides ample storage options. The incredible storage space begins with the oversized garage and practical mudroom entrance. This leads into the dining and kitchen area, which contains a large pantry, island and abundant counter space, perfect for entertaining or day-to-day life. The kitchen, adjacent to the great room features lots of natural lighting. The second level features even more space and storage, beginning with the versatile loft area that can turn into an optional junior suite. The expansive master suite opens with double doors and boasts a coffered ceiling. The master bathroom features a dual vanity, water closet, soaking tub and another oversized closet.
