An historic Victorian home in Seattle, Washington receives an update befitting her history and beauty. The design process began by paying close attention to the home's architecture, existing color palette, and hardware details and the homeowner’s design aesthetic. It was important to ensure the renovated rooms would feel period appropriate and flow beautifully from the adjacent spaces. The bathrooms were dressed in Calacatta gold marble, antique brass metal details, ogee edge countertops and painted cabinets with a heritage finish. Elegant stone flooring and trim details, vintage inspired hardware and shower amenities niches were included to elevate the spaces. The laundry room transformation included penny floor tiles, an unexpected sidesplash detail, and a show stopping wallcovering to add a big wow factor. Our signature hidden drying racks and a concealed laundry chute cabinet add convenience and help to keep the laundry room tidy and organized. Shown in detail, Ornately placed crown molding and baseboards pair perfectly with the professional texture and paint. Texture and paint is a tedious process as it rquires the sanding of the previous texture and paint pattern to ensure smoothness of the drywall. Once this is reached its followed by a light layer of mud then texture (Orange Peel depicted here). Once texture has been completed a high quality primer is used following a shade of point handpicked by the client.

This chandelier recalls the early days of electric home lighting when rooms had one wall outlet and a single central ceiling connection. With no wall switches, this screaming 5 bulb fixture had tedious pull chain switches on each socket. Happily, those relic sockets have been replaced by a single wall switch and five new switchless sockets. The chandelier has been totally rewired including a ground wire for safety and durability, while preserving the authentic vintage copper and brass appearance. The lamp is in very good condition with age appropriate mars and scratches, but no major dents. 40-watt flame bulbs are included. 20-inch drop from ceiling to bottom of glass shades. 12-inch diameter of center hub and 20 inches across the shades.

This is an exterior garden mural in Beverly Hills. The clients wanted an art noveau inspired peacock mural to be above a fountain in their garden. When I initially met with them there was just a rough painted brick wall. Like can now be seen on either side of the mural. I suggested smoothing out the painted brick and then adding bricks on either side where the fountain ends meet to make a framed area. After many design ideas, color palette ideas and tedious work, I'm happy to say the clients were thrilled with the results!
