Shown in detail, Ornately placed crown molding and baseboards pair perfectly with the professional texture and paint. Texture and paint is a tedious process as it rquires the sanding of the previous texture and paint pattern to ensure smoothness of the drywall. Once this is reached its followed by a light layer of mud then texture (Orange Peel depicted here). Once texture has been completed a high quality primer is used following a shade of point handpicked by the client.

This is an exterior garden mural in Beverly Hills. The clients wanted an art noveau inspired peacock mural to be above a fountain in their garden. When I initially met with them there was just a rough painted brick wall. Like can now be seen on either side of the mural. I suggested smoothing out the painted brick and then adding bricks on either side where the fountain ends meet to make a framed area. After many design ideas, color palette ideas and tedious work, I'm happy to say the clients were thrilled with the results!

2018 HNA Awards Honorable Mention - Concrete Paver - Residential (size more than 3,000 sf) Contractor: Heath Landscaping Producer: Eagle Bay Hardscapes The client wanted everything to flow well, so rather than using sand to fill the gaps between the pavers and the natural stone, each paver was ground to fit perfectly. The result is a seamless transition between natural elements and pavers. The quality-over-quantity approach helps show that craftsmanship is extremely important. It sets this project apart and shows the client that a certain level of care is ensured. This project was completed using Chatham Natural, Chatham XL, BrikStone and EssexStone. The homeowner owns and frequently uses a lot of heavy equipment, so the foundation of the paver system was given much attention. There are 8-12 inches of base, focused on durability. This outdoor area was EssexStone in the Bull Run color. The homeowners have plans for an outdoor kitchen made entirely of natural stone, so this project has been completed in phases. The custom-shaping of the pavers made the installation process tedious.

Times have changed and so has the kitchen. Some houses just demand a style and a presence, and this home is certainly one of those houses. It had an old out of date kitchen from the 1970’s misplaced in a grand stone house from the 1920s. There was a traditional servant’s kitchen with back entrance that did not look grand, as was the case in those days. We recreated the front entry’s cased opening with leaded stained glass, matched ribbon Mahogany on the cabinets and trim just like the original dining room, and tied in leaded stained glass at the cabinets. The backsplash was designed to keep that servant’s kitchen feel, but with grandeur, reclaiming marble pavers from the property. Coupling a tedious unrelenting effort and a painstaking design with the convenience of modern appliances and functionality of new cabinets give us a timeless kitchen. It is hard to discern what is old and what is new. It is a seamless integration of style from another era into the practical functionality from today’s ever-changing environment. The final result from this incredible kitchen renovation is a spacious and modern kitchen that looks like it could have been designed and built by the original team from 1920.
