I got to know all the guys who were working in our house and they were all wonderful people”. I wanted small details like little feet to look like furniture, that is where their carpentry skill came in to make these all perfect”, said Jennifer. “The tile guys were wonderful. This handmade custom designed kitchen was created for an historic restoration project in Northern NJ. Handmade white cabinetry is a bright and airy pallet for the home, while the Provence Blue Cornufe with matching custom hood adds a unique splash of color. While the large farm sink is great for cleaning up, the prep sink in the island is handily located right next to the end grain butcher block counter top for chopping. The island, which has seating for 4, is anchored by a tray ceiling and two antique lanterns. A pot filler is located over the range for convenience.

Townhouse renovation in Brooklyn: We redesigned the rear end of the house as an expanded family kitchen with a back door to the deck. We also added a new connection from the entrance hall to the kitchen and fit a small powder room under the stairs. Working in TV means there will be very, very, very long days in which you’ll barely be able to text family, let alone actually see and/or talk to them. So when designing Rob’s office, I wanted to ensure that his wife, Eryn, and daughter, Madelynne, had a strong presence in the space. I did that by anchoring his desk area with giant-sized black and white photography of the family printed on canvas and outfitted with floating frames. For extra, versatile seating, we added a wishbone chair which can double as extra surface for keeping reference books and/or magazines. A city courtyard reminiscent of the French countryside, an oasis right in the middle of the city. A harmony of details combine to perfect the space, a dramatic change making this space inviting. Jennifer and Dan have lived in their Deer Park Illinois home for 15 years, slowly making minor fixes like painting and decorating; but they had a new plan for their kitchen the entire time. An awkwardly placed garage door, and an island cooktop with a terrible downdraft made a full-scale kitchen remodel an absolute must.
