The addition of bold yet simple architectural details - a series of four "spider legs" inspired by the iconic mid-century architect, Richard Neutra, added drama and definition to the new front entry. Low ground cover softens the new concrete step pads, while colorful succulents and flowering plants replaced the thirsty lawn, providing a dynamic and easy-care front garden. By adding our Lueder's Limestone to this outdoor landscaping project we added visual texture. We took up most of the space where thirsty grass might grow instead, creating a striking pattern that personified the artistic vision of the project.

Inspiration for a cottage garage remodel in Atlanta

To create this landscape overlooking the Pacific Ocean just south of Santa Barbara, we terraced what was formerly a long, sloping, and water-thirsty grass lawn and planted the layers with drought-tolerant native plants. Dry-stacked stone retaining walls with integrated drainage add structural stability, and two levels of flagstone patio enable the owners to take full advantage of the balmy Mediterranean climate zone and ocean views. This San Juan Capistrano home was transformed from a very water thirsty front garden to a low water use, mostly California native ecological oasis! The client needed a new driveway due to root damage, and new walkways to create cohesiveness. We chose to use pavers to complement and upgrade the home's aesthetic. We tied in the existing rain gutter system to a very large dry creek which will infiltrate thousands of gallons of rain water each year. A decomposed granite pathway leads to a wooden bridge over the creek. The homeowners can now relax on their patio and enjoy watching birds, butterflies, and other pollinators visit their lovely garden!

This Rochester Hills finished basement is a fan favorite of 2018! What's not to love? Built in cabinet units, in-beam ceilings, full bar with a wrap around two-tier island and seating.. Oh man. A spare bedroom holds bunk beds that will really come in handy for your kid's sleepovers. The sitting room has a theater system built in and an entertainment center built specifically around their movie screen.
