Craftsman's Choice Inc.Black siding transformed this home in Maple Grove. This project left a lasting impression, transforming a home with worn and outdated vinyl siding which had been damaged by hail and Minnesota’s harsh climate, in a lakeside retreat. The homeowners sought a fresh look that would elevate both the aesthetic and functionality of their property, making the most of the beautiful lakeside views.
The first major update involved replacing the tired vinyl siding with James Hardie board and batten siding in the striking Shou Sugi Ban color. This deep, rich color brings an elegant, modern look to the home, offering both timeless appeal and exceptional durability. The board and batten style adds texture and sophistication, making the home stand out in the neighborhood.

House to Home SolutionsA fresh start created a connected space that makes sense in this Arlington (Shirlington), VA condo. The old kitchen was tired and outdated and felt cut off from the rest of the living area. The homeowner's collection of glassware and art was lost in the busyness.
While the footprint remained essentially the same, smart touches were added throughout to maximize the functionality and aesthetic. The manmade Quartz counter material continued up the walls for a stunning backsplash look. An enlarged cabinet above the refrigerator transformed that space from unused to functional. An LG double oven range was added to the space of a conventional range. Giant drawers in the peninsula make accessing sullies a breeze. On the back of the peninsula, a cabinet was added in previously wasted space.
The cabinetry is Durasupreme with a shaker door style. The lowers are a Lucious Cherry in Dark Stain and the uppers are painted a soft grey. The hardwood floors from the main living area are now carried into the kitchen. New Led slim profile lighting, including stunning geometric LED pendants brighten up the space.
The result is a bright kitchen that cohesively brings the living space together and highlights the homeowner’s collected art and glassware.
Katie Hutchison StudioWhen the owners of this eat-in kitchen in a c. 1910 Cape contacted me, they were ready to transform it from a tired, cluttered look to a bright and clean aesthetic in keeping with their more modern taste. Plus, they needed more storage; they had been storing pots and pans in the oven. In the reconfigured renovated gray-and-white kitchen, we moved the stove/oven to a new island generous enough to accommodate seating for four, which freed up space for full-height cabinetry storage in the location of a former corner table. A PentalQuartz countertop in Arabescato, white Shaker-style overlay cabinets by Showplace, and a porcelain and glass mosaic backsplash tile from Lauzon help the modest kitchen sparkle and to feel more expansive. Happily, the oven is now available for cooking rather than storage.
Phoenix Home RemodelingThe guest bathroom was stuck in a design time warp. The vanity, fixtures, and tiling were all remnants of past trends that seemed tired and less appealing. The shower/tub combo lacked the allure and comfort.

The outdated vanity was replaced with the stylish Sollid Value White Shaker cabinets, and the Fairy White Quartz countertops was installed, instantly brightening the room with their polished surface and crisp, clean lines.
The mirrors upgrade was significant, with the Kohler Essential mirrors lending an expansive and luxurious feel, further accentuated by the Mencino bath lights casting a welcoming glow.
The Kohler Archer Soaking Tub elevated the functionality while maintaining a uniform look. The same sophisticated tile choices adorned the shower walls and niche, tying the room's design neatly back to the aesthetic of the master bath.
