This log cabin has been in the family for multiple generations. A true log cabin, this home greatly lacked energy efficiency. The homeowners began making updates to the exterior in 2014 by replacing their front entry door and most of their windows. In 2015 they decided to replace the original wood with insulated vinyl siding.
This home was completely transformed with the replacement siding, windows, and door. The Cedar Ridge insulated vinyl siding has a 7” profile in Slate with White trim. The Exteria ledge stone is in Rocky Mountain with Clay trim. The essentials windows are white in both double hung and two lite slider styles. The fiberglass ProVia entry door provides a pop of color in Vallis Red with clear glass and an Aged Bronze handle.

This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. If you hate your brick or just want something unique this is a great option!

The Glenview Haus Craftsman Collection of front doors reflects the simplicity and quality of American arts and crafts movement, reflecting furniture makers such as Shaker, Stickley, and Mission. The solid wood doors showcase the smaller decorative, true-divided glass window with v-groove rustic panels, as well as alternatives like the flat Shaker style. This project encompasses the renovation of two aging metal warehouses located on an acre just North of the 610 loop. The larger warehouse, previously an auto body shop, measures 6000 square feet and will contain a residence, art studio, and garage. A light well puncturing the middle of the main residence brightens the core of the deep building. The over-sized roof opening washes light down three masonry walls that define the light well and divide the public and private realms of the residence. The interior of the light well is conceived as a serene place of reflection while providing ample natural light into the Master Bedroom. Large windows infill the previous garage door openings and are shaded by a generous steel canopy as well as a new evergreen tree court to the west. Adjacent, a 1200 sf building is reconfigured for a guest or visiting artist residence and studio with a shared outdoor patio for entertaining. Photo by Peter Molick, Art by Karin Broker
