Integral Design InteriorsThis elegant townhouse is rich in detail and has traditional and contemporary elements which adds a timeless appeal. A mix of oriental and transitional area rugs provide the groundwork for which each room . We provided an interesting mix of patterns and textures on the pillows and upholstery to add excitement to the basically neutral space, with pops of color. Custom molding was applied to the dining room ceiling that is right off the entry. No one enters without commenting on this element. As elegant as it looks the client wanted a comfortable feel and was extremely happy with the results.

Generous amounts of south facing glazing (0.5 shgc) maximize the solar gains for most of the year, while motorized exterior aluminum shades can be lowered to block unwanted summer heat gain resulting in extremely comfortable temperatures year round. An extensive green roof helps manage all stormwater on site, while a roof mounted 4.32 kW PV array provides enough electricity to result in a near net zero and truly sustainable building.

CH Burnham Inc.It is not uncommon for the scope of work to change during a project. This is often the result of deficiencies in the framing or foundation. For this project, the changes were a result of uncovering original elements of the building and the clients desire to honor and celebrate this history. I realized that the gallery, the great hallway at the center of the home, is really the nexus of the project. After completing demolition, we discovered steel I-beams in slightly different locations than the building blue print suggested and some beautiful wire cut brick facades. Rather than imposing the first design on new conditions, our client and the design team recognized the potential.

We replaced AT&T with Comcast for high speed internet including the cable modem and wireless antenna, increasing their wireless download speed from 24 to 175 Mbps. On the opposite wall, we installed PowerBridge recessed cable management outlets to run cables behind the wall, hung their television on a Sanus super-low profile fixed TV mount, connected an Apple TV HD, and set them with YouTube TV. Result, one cable modem/wifi antenna and one small Apple TV box.
