For this kitchen remodeling project, the homeowners liked the white kitchen look, however they wanted to make their island stand out more. To achieve this, they decided to go with a two-tone color look. We started the remodel by installing all new cabinets done in the Portland door from our Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection line. The cabinets were done in a snow white color while the island was done in the Scanda color. Next, we installed a new quartz countertop in Ethereal Dusk, a 3x12 catch ice gloss tile backsplash and crown molding. To finish this new transformation, we added pocket doors above the oven to house a TV. Now these homeowners have the kitchen they’ve been dreaming of.

For this kitchen remodeling project, we showed this out of state couple proper southern hospitality with a coastal open kitchen floor plan. We tore out the old cabinets and installed all new cabinets done in Birch in a two-tone color. They went with our Catalina door and the upper cabinets were done in Polar White, while the lowers were done in Aquaduct. Next, we installed a new quartz Calacatta Royal countertop with a waterfall edge and a new night sky 2x6 subway tile backsplash. To finish the new look, we installed under-cabinet lighting that was the perfect balance of form and function. Now these homeowners have the kitchen of their dreams.

This Argyle kitchen proves that practical storage doesn't have to be boring. The kitchen was a full remodel which incorporated all new high-end appliances like a 48” Sub Zero refrigerator and Thermador cooktop and ovens. Bead board was added to the ceiling and a heavy crown molding adds detail to the transitional kitchen. The cabinets are painted Swiss coffee by Benjamin Moore, which contrast against the brown granite and creamy subway tile backsplash. A custom mosaic is the centerpiece of the kitchen, adding an organic element. The refrigerator and dishwasher are paneled to help conceal the appliances. A hip young family moving from Boston tackled an enormous makeover of an antique colonial revival home in downtown Larchmont. The kitchen area was quite spacious but benefitted from a small bump out for a banquette and additional windows. Navy blue island and tall cabinetry matched to Benjamin Moore’s Van Deusen blue is balanced by crisp white (Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace) cabinetry on the perimeter. The mid-century inspired suspended fireplace adds warmth and style to the kitchen. A tile covered range hood blends the ventilation into the walls. Brushed brass hardware by Lewis Dolan in a contemporary T-bar shape offer clean lines in a warm metallic tone. Mosaic Jewel-Tone backsplash combines bands of fused glass with Strata Subway tile in silver tones. Tiles are made in Santa Cruz, Ca from an in-house formula for eco-friendly concrete. Awarded the Best New Product of 2008 by California Home & Design Magazine, the tiles have the look and feel of burnished metal.

Cooking is easy in the petite farmhouse style kitchen. The two-toned cabinetry creates a light yet grounded space with classic farmhouse accents like the light over the sink and subway tile backsplash. Cabinetry is functional with roll-outs, spice racks, trash pull-out and drawers.

Choosing to abandon uniformity in your kitchen can be a great choice if you're looking to opt out of a monochrome aesthetic. Two-toned kitchen cabinets add visual interest and contrast while drawing focus to different features within the space. Designs utilizing two-toned cabinets have become very popular in recent years and it's not a trend that will be fading out any time soon. Our clients opted for a combination of Earl Grey and Macchiato Classic cabinetry in their two-toned kitchen. The large island with its second faucet, sink, microwave drawer and lower storage is the focal point of the room and a great work surface for food prep and entertaining. A vertical pull out PowerDock was installed into the top of the island for plugging in kitchen tools, phones and laptops. Dolomite Marble subway tile and Brunello quartz countertops brighten up the kitchen and balance out the tone of the cabinets creating a light and airy feel. The addition of contrasting touches such as the Honey Bronze, Flat Black hardware and Champaign Bronze faucets, accessories the room beautifully. The subdued and sophisticated style of this two-toned kitchen is exquisite and shows the various ways that two-tone cabinets can be versatile and appealing. Some of the other areas that were remodeled in this home included the complete overhaul of the existing stair well, a guest bath and laundry area. The guest bath has beautiful vanity cabinets in Celest finish, Monochrome Lotus Deco tile and very reflective Midnight Dots in the shower floor and niche. The combination of all three give a striking white, blue and black design that will inspire and show that you can use pattern and texture in small spaces. A twenty four inch wall mounted shower seat can be lifted and secured when in use and tucked away to allow access out of the shower. A pocket door from the guest bathroom provides a second access point to the hallway with the laundry that has also been revamped with the same style and finish of cabinetry.
