This project highlights a complete garage door opener replacement and safety upgrade for a home in Schaumburg, IL. Our team removed the old chain‑drive opener and installed a new quiet belt‑drive system with improved lifting power and smart‑home connectivity. We aligned the safety sensors, programmed remotes and keypads, and performed a full system test to ensure smooth, safe, and reliable operation. The upgrade delivered quieter performance, enhanced security, and modern convenience for the homeowner.

After completing a bathroom renovation for this client in January 2024, they called us back to refresh their 1970s home with cosmetic upgrades. The project focused on preserving the original charm while introducing contemporary updates, including adding shaker doors with brass handles, repainting walls and finishes, refreshing stair railings, replacing stair treads and risers, new flooring, and tiles in the foyer. A custom accent wall was also added to a bedroom, blending the old with a modern, timeless feel.

Looking at this home today, you would never know that the project began as a poorly maintained duplex. Luckily, the homeowners saw past the worn façade and engaged our team to uncover and update the Victorian gem that lay underneath. Taking special care to preserve the historical integrity of the 100-year-old floor plan, we returned the home back to its original glory as a grand, single family home.
The project included many renovations, both small and large, including the addition of a a wraparound porch to bring the façade closer to the street, a gable with custom scrollwork to accent the new front door, and a more substantial balustrade. Windows were added to bring in more light and some interior walls were removed to open up the public spaces to accommodate the family’s lifestyle.
