Inspiration for a large farmhouse white two-story wood exterior home remodel in San Francisco

This wonderfully stunning backyard is a sight for sore eyes, as it seems to beckon “Welcome, please come on in.” At the rear of this outdoor living space is a step-up hot tub that easily holds a entire family of eight. The upper level deck is actually two decks in one. The upper tier – decked out with hardwood floor, columns and black metal rail posts, serves as an outdoor dining room, outdoor living room and outdoor kitchen. The lower tier is a rain deck, completely protected from weather elements above. A slate patio sets the stage for this all natural rock and boulder firepit.

The upper deck includes Ipe flooring, an outdoor kitchen with concrete countertops, and panoramic doors that provide instant indoor/outdoor living. Waterfall steps lead to the lower deck's artificial turf area. The ground level features custom concrete pavers, fire pit, open framed pergola with day bed and under decking system.

This beautiful upper level Trex "Transcend Tropicals" deck with the two-tone border accent is in an area of newer homes. This is the second deck that we built for the King family. Lighting accents the railing posts and the stairs are lit at every step.

A free-standing roof structure provides a shaded lounging area. This pavilion garnered a first-place award in the 2015 NADRA (North American Deck and Railing Association) National Deck Competition. This custom project in Goose Creek, SC features a multi-tiered design with a ground-level sunroom and an upper-level wood deck above. Designed and built by Express Sunrooms of Charleston, the structure offers two levels of outdoor enjoyment—an enclosed, climate-controlled sunroom below and an open-air retreat above, perfect for entertaining or relaxing with a view.

This rooftop terrace on Manhattan's Upper West Side features a custom bench, planter boxes made of clear cedar, and red ceramic pots. The plantings include maiden grasses, red-stem dogwoods, knockout roses, hakone grass, butterfly bush, and petunias. See more of our projects at www.amberfreda.com.
