Another fun Crestview project! This young couple wanted a back yard that reflected their bohemian-eclectic style and could add additional privacy from the ever climbing construction around them. A place for “hanging out and drinking coffee or beer in the backyard.” But what was most exciting, was the air stream they had just purchased and were in the process of restoring. With the end goal of using it as a guest home for family and friends, we were challenged with creating a space that was cohesive and connected this new living space with the rest of the yard.
In the front we had another quark to fix. The sidewalk from their front door to the street suddenly stopped 5 feet from the curb, making a less than inviting entry for guests. So, creating a new usable entryway with additional curb appeal was a top priority.
We managed the entertainment space by using modern poured concrete pad’s as a focal. A poured concrete wall serves as a bench as well as creates a visual anchor for the patio area. To soften the hard materials, small plantings of succulents and ground cover were planted in the spaces between the pads. For a backdrop, a custom Cedar Plank wall and trellis combined to soften the vertical space and add plenty of privacy. The trellis is anchored by a Coral Vine to add interest. Cafe style lighting was strung across the area create a sense of intimacy.
We also completed the fence transition, and eliminated the grass areas that were not being utilized to reduce the amount of water waste in the landscape, and replaced these areas with beneficial plantings for the wildlife.
Overall, this landscape was completed with a cohesive Austin-friendly design in mind for these busy young professionals!

Our doors have several superior features:
- Single sheet of metal is used in construction. No welded seams are best as these can significantly weaken the structural integrity of the entranceway. Our doors are also more resilient to mechanic damage, such as sledgehammer strikes.
- The advantage of a single, non-welded door is that it reduces interior internal condensation. Over time, condensation can negatively affect the door mechanisms.
- Stiffening Ribs: These non-visible details add to our door's security.
- Quality insulation serves to reduce unwanted external noise, as well as protect against extreme heat, and severe cold.
- 3D Hinges: Hacking are often carried out at the side of a door's hinges. A better feature is utilizing hinges with ball bearings and installed anti-cuts.

Located on the Southeastern edge of Mascoma Lake, the Enfield Project is inspired by the New Hampshire Landscape. The project is largely hidden by trees, and utilizes TORA shou sugi ban exterior siding, MISUTO shou sugi ban exterior siding, and clear vertical grain western red cedar.

This transitional kitchen utilizes a walk in wine cellar as well as a hidden pantry to showcase its beautiful simplicity. Vertical grain straight oak provides some depth and the quartz waterfall counter is simply stunning.

This is an existing cabin on Lake Owen in Northern Wisconsin that has went through an earlier addition in the 1960s. The cabin was in need of overall renovation and their was a desire to expand in order to fit the expanded family that treks to the north woods for summer and winter fun. Due to zoning restriction, the footprint could not be altered except for a 90 square foot addition to create a formal entry off the driveway.
Because of the restrictions on lateral expansion, the addition had to be vertical. The solution to create the different spaces required by the owners was to utilize a saltbox building form to simplify the roof lines and unify the garage with the rest of the home. The main living is located on the ground floor along with the Primary Bedroom suite. The rest of the bedrooms along with an office, gym and Japanese style spa-like bathroom are located on the second floor. Above the garage space is a quilting room, and the attic of the main home is a usable loft space with access from a spiral staircase.
A combination of lap siding and shingle siding is used on the exterior of the building as a nod to the vernacular style of the saltbox home. Cedar slats and accents are used throughout to bring in warmth, and a stone base helps protect the exterior from snow in the winter and ground the structure.

Bakes & Kropp's Cucina BK style custom cabinetry is fresh, contemporary and coastal in this "Oceanview Oasis" Kitchen. The vertical grain orientation of the Rift White Oak draws the eye skyward and the light wash finish treatment gives it a loose, beach-inspired texture. A U-shaped configuration showcases the room's natural light by keeping the large glass window the focal point and utilizing an open upper peninsula unit. The center island, topped in brushed stainless, softly reflects the light and the subtle aqua marine color scheme. The space is truly modern cottage living at its finest!

When a world class sailing champion approached us to design a Newport home for his family, with lodging for his sailing crew, we set out to create a clean, light-filled modern home that would integrate with the natural surroundings of the waterfront property, and respect the character of the historic district.
Our approach was to make the marine landscape an integral feature throughout the home. One hundred eighty degree views of the ocean from the top floors are the result of the pinwheel massing. The home is designed as an extension of the curvilinear approach to the property through the woods and reflects the gentle undulating waterline of the adjacent saltwater marsh. Floodplain regulations dictated that the primary occupied spaces be located significantly above grade; accordingly, we designed the first and second floors on a stone “plinth” above a walk-out basement with ample storage for sailing equipment. The curved stone base slopes to grade and houses the shallow entry stair, while the same stone clads the interior’s vertical core to the roof, along which the wood, glass and stainless steel stair ascends to the upper level.
One critical programmatic requirement was enough sleeping space for the sailing crew, and informal party spaces for the end of race-day gatherings. The private master suite is situated on one side of the public central volume, giving the homeowners views of approaching visitors. A “bedroom bar,” designed to accommodate a full house of guests, emerges from the other side of the central volume, and serves as a backdrop for the infinity pool and the cove beyond.
Also essential to the design process was ecological sensitivity and stewardship. The wetlands of the adjacent saltwater marsh were designed to be restored; an extensive geo-thermal heating and cooling system was implemented; low carbon footprint materials and permeable surfaces were used where possible. Native and non-invasive plant species were utilized in the landscape. The abundance of windows and glass railings maximize views of the landscape, and, in deference to the adjacent bird sanctuary, bird-friendly glazing was used throughout.

Rachael’s kitchen was not large to begin with, had some outdated cabinets and appliances, as well as a lot of unused space due to older style and construction. Mayflower Construction Group’s design solution was to move the range to an area that wasn’t very utilized while freeing up space for a large second counter and creating a more open and accessible kitchen. Wolf “Classic” line of flat panel cabinets framed with 2”-wide and ½”-thick plywood construction in white and pewter combined with Viatera “Karis” custom cut quartz countertop creates an enthralling combination that is calming and pleasing to the eye. The combination of vertical subway, patterned hexagon, and large textured tiles for the backsplash areas give an elevated, varied, but not over-the-top look to the entire space. Stainless steel appliances and hardware give a delightful and elegant feel to the entire living space, while “tying” together this stylish, bright, and beautiful modern-day kitchen.

Milled Aluminum Construction / Utilizes oval-point set screws / Configurations available for both vertical seams and horizontal seams / Made in the USA using recycled materials / Set screws provide a secure attachment point without penetrating roofing materials / Clamp-to-Seam technology will not void panel manufacturers warranties

Opera kitchen design in glossy white lacquer finish with large closets that integrate over-the-column elements, allowing the total utilization of the vertical space showcasing a strong sense of proportions.

A highly functional and beautifully designed mudroom that blends organization with elevated style. Custom built-in cabinetry in a rich navy finish provides ample storage, complete with integrated bench seating, upper cubbies, and brass-accented hardware for a refined touch. A vertical beadboard backing with hooks creates a practical drop zone for coats and bags, while the adjacent quartz-topped utility sink adds everyday convenience. Durable porcelain tile flooring in a stone-inspired finish ensures longevity and easy maintenance. Designed as a seamless transition space, this mudroom delivers both practicality and polished design.

This charming exterior features a combination of stone, shakes, and vertical siding. Special details include a front porch, dormer, and gables with curved accents. The cathedral topped great room opens to a relaxing screened porch while the kitchen enjoys a nearby pantry and the single dining area is highlighted with columns and a tray ceiling. This open floor plan is great for keeping busy families connected and makes entertaining easy. The master suite gains vertical space with a cathedral ceiling and private porch access is perfect for enjoying morning coffee or letting pets outside. A spacious walk-in closet is suitable for two and the master bath boasts dual vanities, a standing shower, and a luxurious soaking bathtub. Three additional bedrooms are positioned around the utility room, making laundry drop-off and redistribution a breeze. Two additional baths and linen closets are available for children and guests. The garage is located at the rear of the home with two bays and extra storage. A bonus room above the garage offers additional storage or can be finished as a children's play room or an entertainment room for teenagers.

Airy Upper Landing with Modern Industrial Detail
This perspective showcases how a well-chosen railing system can transform a standard hallway into a bright, architectural feature. By utilizing high-tension cables and light-reflective flooring, the design creates a sense of limitless space and clean, modern continuity.
Design Highlights:
Contemporary Cable Guardrails: The stainless steel cable system provides an ultra-slim profile that keeps the hallway feeling wide and open. The horizontal cables draw the eye forward, elongating the transition between rooms.
Light-Wash Wide Plank Flooring: The pale, neutral-toned flooring (likely a light oak or white-washed luxury vinyl) reflects natural light from the adjacent rooms, keeping the landing bright and airy without the need for heavy overhead lighting.
Minimalist Door & Trim Profiles: Clean white Shaker-style doors and simple flat-profile baseboards maintain the Japandi-inspired minimalism seen throughout the rest of the home.
Architectural Symmetry: The parallel lines of the railing posts and the cable tensioners create a rhythmic, geometric appeal that is a hallmark of modern industrial design.
Seamless Level Transition: The view looking down the stairwell reinforces the home’s open vertical flow, showing how the railing serves as a consistent design anchor from the ground floor up.

Client needed lots of jewelry storage and scarf storage. I utilized the space next to the window for the scarves and gave her lots of jewelry drawers and vertical necklace storage.
