A substantial house in one of the Peninsula’s most desirable neighborhoods, this residence was home to a busy family of five looking to design spaces that welcomed their large extended family and friends. For the living room, we were tasked with creating an architectural, elegant space to seat fifteen. A den/library highlights the homeowner’s passion for green. In the powder room, we selected green and navy grasscloth wallpaper for a burst of vibrancy.

A neutral palette is the backdrop for bold, yet soothing, teals and blues. The juxtaposition of the rustic table and natural branch screens with modern lighting and art creates a dynamic space. Back-lit willow branches enhances the room's depth and creates an interesting shadow play on the ceiling as well. An over-scale iron sphere chandelier balances both the height and width of the room. This beautiful home was a clean slate to transform into a colorful paradise. This light-filled kitchen celebrates Santa Fe Style Architecture, where hand-hewn vigas, adobe-inspired plaster walls, and earthy brick floors honor the traditions of Adobe Architecture. The custom turquoise cabinetry and island reflect the vibrancy of regional design, while the thoughtful layout embodies Custom Residential Design Santa Fe that is both functional and timeless. Anchored in the principles of Historic Preservation Santa Fe, the space maintains authenticity while embracing modern convenience, crafted with the expertise of a skilled Santa Fe Architect.

This bathroom is a beautiful example of how Santa Fe Style Architecture integrates art, craft, and natural light into everyday spaces. The room highlights: Hand-painted Talavera tiles with playful, colorful motifs lining the tub and counters — bringing in folk-art vibrancy and regional storytelling. Earth-toned plaster walls in warm golden hues, maintaining the signature adobe softness and glow. Viga and latilla ceiling with decorative painting, tying the bathroom into the home’s overall historic design language. Natural light and garden view through the deep-set window, blending indoor comfort with the outdoor landscape. Artwork as centerpiece, adding a bold, personal, and artistic touch to a utilitarian space. This makes the bathroom more than functional — it’s an immersive cultural and artistic experience, true to Historic Preservation Santa Fe and Custom Residential Design traditions.

With a restrained hand, out interior designer set about bringing a new life in our clients petite apartment while also introducing easy to maintain, durable surfaces and furnishings as they love to entertain and have a lively St. Bernard. And as they had an extensive book collection and a single three-foot wide closet, the key challenge here was to make the best use of the entire space while injecting it with charming whimsy. After falling in love with our designer’s presentation, our clients went for a complete apartment overhaul and started from scratch. Since the space is small, our designer Anna S. wanted to create an urgent sense of vibrancy without coming off as too heavy handed. So she worked in expressive colors and decorative extras in small doses for subtle impact. Starting the project by changing several of the unit’s light fixtures for brighter, more minimal styles, Anna surveyed the apartment room to room to devise clever storage solutions that are easy on the eye. As they have friends over often, Anna created a warm and inviting living room boasting a slightly feminine take on mid-century modern layered with colorful pillows, patterned rugs, and eclectic art that doesn’t take over the apartment. In the kitchen, she added a strong yet gender neutral burlap wallpaper, floating wooden shelves, and new plumbing fixtures that were more sophisticated than the original, standard ones in place. However, our favorite part of the apartment is the moody, statement-making foyer. Though it was a long and narrow barely used, neglected space, Anna brought in wallpaper from Tempaper that features a matte black background covered with gold bird and floral illustrations, and added a long row of black glass cabinets and several large gold mirrors for an added sense of glamorous drama and an extra amount of storage space to boot.

This game room was crafted with vibrancy and fun at its core, all while pushing the boundaries of design. Our mission was to introduce our clients to fresh, innovative approaches that create spaces they've never imagined.

Inspiration for a contemporary home design remodel in Tel Aviv

The original bathroom on the main floor had an odd Jack-and-Jill layout with two toilets, two vanities and only a single tub/shower (in vintage mint green, no less). With some creative modifications to existing walls and the removal of a small linen closet, we were able to divide the space into two functional bathrooms – one of them now a true en suite master. In the master bathroom we chose a soothing palette of warm grays – the geometric floor tile was laid in a random pattern adding to the modern minimalist style. The slab front vanity has a mid-century vibe and feels at place in the home. Storage space is always at a premium in smaller bathrooms so we made sure there was ample countertop space and an abundance of drawers in the vanity. While calming grays were welcome in the bathroom, a saturated pop of color adds vibrancy to the master bedroom and creates a vibrant backdrop for furnishings.

When staging this space my intention was to give it a lot of color to marry the outdoor vibrance with the space.

Well, how about a tropical themed bath that works year round? The goal of this bath was just that, to bring some fun, whimsy and tropical vibes! We started out by making some updates to the built in bookcase leading into the bath. It got an easy update by removing all the stained trim and creating a simple arched opening with a few floating shelves for a much cleaner and up-to-date look. We love the simplicity of this arch in the space. Now, into the bathroom design. Our client fell in love with this beautiful handmade tile featuring tropical birds and flowers and featuring bright, vibrant colors. We played off the tile to come up with the pallet for the rest of the space. The cabinetry and trim is a custom teal-blue paint that perfectly picks up on the blue in the tile. The gold hardware, lighting and mirror also coordinate with the colors in the tile. Because the house is a 1930’s tudor, we played homage to that by using a simple black and white hex pattern on the floor and retro style hardware that keep the whole space feeling vintage appropriate. We chose a wall mount unpolished brass hardware faucet which almost gives the feel of a tropical fountain. It just works. The arched mirror continues the arch theme from the bookcase. For the shower, we chose a coordinating antique white tile with the same tropical tile featured in a shampoo niche where we carefully worked to get a little bird almost standing on the niche itself. We carried the gold fixtures into the shower, and instead of a shower door, the shower features a simple hinged glass panel that is easy to clean and allows for easy access to the shower controls.
