This award-winning and intimate cottage was rebuilt on the site of a deteriorating outbuilding. Doubling as a custom jewelry studio and guest retreat, the cottage’s timeless design was inspired by old National Parks rough-stone shelters that the owners had fallen in love with. A single living space boasts custom built-ins for jewelry work, a Murphy bed for overnight guests, and a stone fireplace for warmth and relaxation. Country white two-story wood gable roof idea in San Francisco

This kitchen features a modern and elegant design with clean lines and warm tones. White cabinetry with brass handles pairs beautifully with a dark, geometric tile backsplash, creating a striking contrast. The island, topped with a white countertop and dark wood base, is complemented by brass fixtures, including the faucet and pendant lights. Natural light from the window enhances the airy feel. The kitchen blends contemporary style with a touch of warmth, making it both functional and stylish.

This mid century modern home boasted irreplaceable features including original wood cabinets, wood ceiling, and a wall of floor to ceiling windows. C&R developed a design that incorporated the existing details with additional custom cabinets that matched perfectly. A new lighting plan, quartz counter tops, plumbing fixtures, tile backsplash and floors, and new appliances transformed this kitchen while retaining all the mid century flavor.

Bathroom - farmhouse bathroom idea in Houston

My clients’ gracious lifestyle and open-door policy to friends and family was the jumping-off point for the warm vibe that permeates the residence. But the towering urban landscape outside their windows, just east of Chicago’s famed Mag Mile shopping district on Michigan Avenue, inspired the textures, materials and colors throughout this retreat-in-the-sky. This open-concept dining and kitchen space was designed to maximize both functionality and visual flow within a contemporary Manhattan apartment. A sculptural dining table anchors the room, complemented by textured upholstered chairs, warm wood tones, and statement lighting that adds a sense of artistry overhead. The custom kitchen pairs soft neutral cabinetry, stone surfaces, and integrated storage to create a refined yet highly practical family space. Inspiration for a kitchen remodel in Minneapolis

Rustic Farmhouse: Garvin-Weeks Farmstead The Garvin-Weeks Farmstead in beautiful North Reading, built c1790, has enjoyed a first floor makeover complete with a new kitchen, family room and master suite. Particular attention was given to preserve the historic details of the house while modernizing and opening up the space for today’s lifestyle. The open concept farmhouse style kitchen is striking with its antique beams and rafters, handmade and hand planed cabinets, distressed floors, custom handmade soapstone farmer’s sink, marble counter tops, kitchen island comprised of reclaimed wood with a milk paint finish, all setting the stage for the elaborate custom painted tile work. Skylights above bathe the space in natural light. Walking through the warm family room gives one the sense of history and days gone by, culminating in a quintessential looking, but fabulously updated new England master bedroom and bath. Luxury kitchen renovation featuring custom cabinetry, premium quartz countertops, and a statement double-edge island. A large sliding patio door brings in natural light, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow with a modern, high-end finish.

APD was hired to update the kitchen, living room, primary bathroom and bedroom, and laundry room in this suburban townhome. The design brought an aesthetic that incorporated a fresh updated and current take on traditional while remaining timeless and classic. The kitchen layout moved cooking to the exterior wall providing a beautiful range and hood moment. Removing an existing peninsula and re-orienting the island orientation provided a functional floorplan while adding extra storage in the same square footage. A specific design request from the client was bar cabinetry integrated into the stair railing, and we could not be more thrilled with how it came together! The primary bathroom experienced a major overhaul by relocating both the shower and double vanities and removing an un-used soaker tub. The design added linen storage and seated beauty vanity while expanding the shower to a luxurious size. Dimensional tile at the shower accent wall relates to the dimensional tile at the kitchen backsplash without matching the two spaces to each other while tones of cream, taupe, and warm woods with touches of gray are a cohesive thread throughout.
