Here is how you can transform your basement into a rustic western saloon:
The Bar:
Reclaimed Wood: Opt for a bar built with reclaimed wood for a truly rustic look. The wood will have natural imperfections and a weathered finish that exudes a Wild West charm. You can go for a classic straight bar design or a U-shaped one to create a more intimate space.
Stone Accents: To add a touch of sophistication, consider incorporating a stone slab for the bar top. Look for natural stones like granite or soapstone with earthy tones that complement the reclaimed wood.
Metal Accents: Wrought iron or hammered copper add a touch of western flair. You can use these materials for the bar footrest, cabinet hardware, or even light fixtures.
Seating and Tables:
Bar stools: Choose bar stools with leather seats and weathered wood frames. Look for details like nailhead trim or fringe accents to tie into the western theme.
High-top tables: A couple of high-top tables with a similar rustic aesthetic can provide additional seating and space for playing cards or board games.
Flooring and Walls:
Wood Floors: Reclaimed or distressed wood flooring throughout the basement will continue the rustic feel.
Stone Tiles: Alternatively, for high-traffic areas, consider stone tiles that resemble natural flagstone or slate.
Lighting and Ambiance:
Warm Lighting: Aim for warm and inviting lighting. Wall-mounted sconces with iron fixtures will create a soft, diffused glow.
Western Decor: Spruce up the space with western-themed décor. Wild west artwork or wall hangings, vintage cowboy photographs, or wagon wheel chandeliers all add a touch of personality.
Rugs: Area rugs with southwestern patterns or Native American designs can add pops of color and texture to the space.
Don't forget the details:
Barware: Invest in a rustic barware set. Look for glasses and mugs made from thick, colored glass or mason jars.
Entertainment: A pool table or a dartboard or shuffleboard table can provide guests with some entertainment.
With these ideas, you can create a unique rustic vibe and inviting western-style home bar in your basement, perfect for entertaining friends and family.

Iron Ore is one of a group of tiles inspired by weathered steel. Its blend of deep ochre and chocolate brown tones perfectly captures the effect of the original metal, which is transformed over time by the natural elements to create dramatic patterning.
The wide bevels of Da Vinci emphasize the rectangular outline of these tiles as the light falls across them. Grout strips can be added to introduce a more traditional tile look with dark colored strips adding subtle separation or light colored strips adding contrast.

A bold teal sectional accented with pillows in terracotta and gold provides plenty of seating in this modern global great room. The weathered finishes of the console and coffee table relax the look and pair well with hammered copper and bronze accents. Pillows offer a mix of traditional and contemporary patterns in linens and velvets, while the graphic stamp artwork plays up the tall ceilings and color palette. A pair of zebra patterned contemporary chairs face the sectional.

The goal was to create a stylish sanctuary in your own backyard! This reasoning spurred the inspiration for the backyard restyle at Project GC, which saw Ariel and Robert furnishing and styling their outdoor space on a budget so they could take advantage of the weather and spend more time outside while renovating the inside of their home.
Our goal was to design with the great outdoors in mind by selecting furnishings that could withstand the weather and could remain outside throughout the seasons.
We wanted to be budget conscious and therefor choose everything from Target.
We intentionally chose furniture that was Target to meet our budget constraints but we also wanted to show that if you can only shop from one store, you can mix and match what they have to offer to create a one of a kind space.
The natural whicker table and chairs are durable, lightweight and create a relaxed tropical vibe.
The table is anchored to a black and white rug while providing a touch of modernism. Tropical plants were layered into the space in a variety of pots of different scales and textures.
Colored was infused into the space with throw pillows and blankets that can easily be changed out to match the season.
Finally, we created mood lighting with strung lights and lanterns of different scales that could remain outside. Voila – an outdoor space we could relax in!

A bold, gallery-worthy design built for statement interiors, this rug reads like a weathered stone surface fractured by veins of light and fire. A deep charcoal-black ground is broken up by cracked, mineral-like patches of dove grey, while a vivid crimson-red vein runs through the center, embedded with faint traces of ornamental motifs that flicker through the erosion pattern like an ancient script resurfacing.
The high-contrast palette and organic, fractal-like distribution give this piece real movement and depth, making it equally at home in a minimalist modern space looking for drama, or a moody, art-forward interior.

Character Builder. The aged and weathered face of antique oak gives this floor a character that belies its age. Wooden planks were laid in a traditional herringbone pattern, then lightly smoothed and burnished with sealer coats of penetrating oil. The final result is a new floor with an exquisitely old soul.
