This is a design concept for a client's weekend getaway home in the Sonoran Desert mountains near Tucson, Arizona. This home is an eclectic mix of Modern and Rustic with finishes such as dry stacked desert sandstone and rusted metal which has an organic feel and blends effortlessly in with the Desert tones, textures and colors.

The Zirakzadeh house is a new-build contemporary home facing Perch Pond. Built as a weekend house for a retired couple, the floor plan is optimized according to the path of the sun throughout the day. The heart of the home is the exterior sun deck, around which all spaces are organized. The master bedroom is located on the second level, maximizing views of Perch Pond.

We believe weekend homes need a larger space for laundry, provisions and extra refrigerator space. The space works well with guests to store coolers with all their Sunday Brunch necessities.
