Created as an end station for the spiritual walks offered by the Benedictine Sisters, with a seating area from which to contemplate the newly installed Peace Pole and the magnificent 130' Sequoia planted by one of the first Sisters in the 1890's. The pathways are created using a technique mixing grass seed and gravel, for safe, solid footing and exceptional drainage. Photo: Optic Verve LLC, two weeks after planting.

This Belgard Holland Brick Paver Border, in Slate, borders the front walkway and the driveway. The Night Lighting ads interest and the rainbow rock and metal edging complete the look with practical concepts like drainage and long lasting tidy borders. Tip- avoid over planting your beds. Remember those plants are going to get bigger each year. If you over plant now, you'll just have to do more maintenance and end up starting over in just a few years.

The wood in the kitchen was taken fro attic floor and treated with epoxies, hand planes, urethane and a special technique I have developed over the years. You end up with a hand hewn classic wide pine floor with a wax\oil type look that is as hard as a hardwood floor. These floors have not been re-finished in over 10 years with dogs and grand kids yet maintain their beauty.

My clients were having a modest sunroom installed off of their living room that connected to their deck area. It was a small space with two entrances. In order to maximize the floor space and offer versatility, I specified two swivel chairs with storage ottomans. The light fixtures, fan and small end table have an organic theme to marry the view from the outdoors with the interior space. A radiant heat tile floor will keep the room cozy all year round. However, with consideration to sunlight and the potential of extreme temperatures, outdoor rated fabric and furnishings were specified.

The kitchen was a part of a complete renovation. The home is a ranch style but had a few additions over the years leaving an elongated for plan. The galley style incorporates two bars at both ends and ties the living space also located at both ends together. The kitchen entertains well and allows for excellent flow.

This patio may look like wood, but it is in fact a concrete paver! The paver is a Techo-Bloc product called Borealis. Its natural wood grain surface mimics the beauty of wood, yet gives us the durability of concrete pavers. The pavers were laid directly over the existing concrete patio, which was still in good shape with minimal cracking and settling.
The lovely couple that lives here wanted a new cedar pergola. But what they ended up with was that and an entirely new and cool back patio space that will last for years and years!

This old-world kitchen is perfect for entertaining or cooking a fabulous meal. Key elements include custom made cabinets, French limestone floors, open beamed ceilings and mountain views. A 200 year-old, sand cast, iron fireback plate was selected and shipped by the owner from France, and is installed above the stove. The appliances are faced with wood veneer to blend with the cabinets. The white oak butcher block on the island creates more surface area for food preparation.
