**Project Overview** This new custom home is filled with personality and individual touches that make it true to the owners' vision. When creating the guest bath, they wanted to do something truly unique and a little bit whimsical. The result is a custom-designed furniture piece vanity in a custom royal blue finish, as well as matching mirror frames. **What Makes This Project Unique?** The clients had an image in their minds and were determined to find a place for it in their new custom home. Their love of bold blue and this unique style led to the creation of this one-of-a-kind piece. The room is bathed in natural light, and the use of light colors in the tile to complement the brilliant blue, help ensure that the space remains light, airy and welcoming. **Design Challenges** Because this furniture piece doesn't start with a standard vanity, our biggest challenge was simply determining what pieces we could draw upon from a semi-custom custom cabinet line. This bathroom is part of a new Master suite construction for a traditional house in the city of Burbank. The space of this lovely bath is only 7.5' by 7.5' Going for the minimalistic look and a linear pattern for the concept. The floor tiles are 8"x8" concrete tiles with repetitive pattern imbedded in the, this pattern allows you to play with the placement of the tile and thus creating your own "Labyrinth" pattern. The two main bathroom walls are covered with 2"x8" white subway tile layout in a Traditional herringbone pattern. The toilet is wall mounted and has a hidden tank, the hidden tank required a small frame work that created a nice shelve to place decorative items above the toilet. You can see a nice dark strip of quartz material running on top of the shelve and the pony wall then it continues to run down all the way to the floor, this is the same quartz material as the counter top that is sitting on top of the vanity thus connecting the two elements together. For the final touch for this style we have used brushed brass plumbing fixtures and accessories.

This stunning master suite is part of a whole house design and renovation project by Haven Design and Construction. The master bath features a 22' cupola with a breathtaking shell chandelier, a freestanding tub, a gold and marble mosaic accent wall behind the tub, a curved walk in shower, his and hers vanities with a drop down seated vanity area for her, complete with hairdryer pullouts and a lucite vanity bench.

The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics. Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned with Calcutta gold marble, gold fixtures and matte black geometric tile arrangements. Powder Bath-A new addition to the home leans more on the traditional side of the transitional movement using moody blues and greens accented with brass. A fun play was the asymmetry of the 3-light sconce brings the aesthetic more to the modern side of transitional. My favorite element in the space, however, is the green, pink black and white deco tile on the floor whose colors are reflected in the details of the Australian wallpaper. Hall Bath-Looking to touch on the home's 70's roots, we went for a mid-mod fresh update. Black Calcutta floors, linear-stacked porcelain tile, mixed woods and strong black and white accents. The green tile may be the star but the matte white ribbed tiles in the shower and behind the vanity are the true unsung heroes.

A master bathroom is often a place of peace and solitude, made even richer with luxurious accents. This homeowner was hoping for a serene, spa like atmosphere with modern amenities. Dipped in gold, this bathroom embodies the definition of luxury. From the oversized shower enclosure, to the oval freestanding soaking tub and private restroom facility, this bathroom incorporates it all. The floor to ceiling white marble tile with gold veins is paired perfectly with a bronze mosaic feature wall behind the his and her vanity areas. The custom free-floating cabinetry continues from the vanities to a large make-up area featuring the same white marble countertops throughout. A touch of gold is seamlessly tied into the design to create sophisticated accents throughout the space. From the gold crystal chandelier, vibrant gold fixtures and cabinet hardware, and the simple gold mirrors, the accents help bring the vision to life and tie in the esthetics of the concept. This stunning white bathroom boasts of luxury and exceeded the homeowner’s expectations. It even included an automatic motorized drop-down television located in the ceiling, allowing the homeowner to relax and unwind after a long day, catching their favorite program.

The primary bathroom is actually a hybrid of the existing conditions and our new aesthetic. We kept the shower as it was (the previous owners had recently renovated it, and did a great job) and also kept the white subway tile that extended out of the shower behind the vanity. In the rest of the room, we brought in the Porcelanosa Noa tile.

Black and white can never make a comeback, because it's always around. Such a classic combo that never gets old and we had lots of fun creating a fun and functional space in this jack and jill bathroom. Used by one of the client's sons as well as being the bathroom for overnight guests, this space needed to not only have enough foot space for two, but be "cool" enough for a teenage boy to appreciate and show off to his friends. The vanity cabinet is a freestanding unit from WW Woods Shiloh collection in their Black paint color. A simple inset door style - Aspen - keeps it looking clean while really making it a furniture look. All of the tile is marble and sourced from Daltile, in Carrara White and Nero Marquina (black). The accent wall is the 6" hex black/white blend. All of the plumbing fixtures and hardware are from the Brizo Litze collection in a Luxe Gold finish. Countertop is Caesarstone Blizzard 3cm quartz.

Louis G. Weiner Photography - This powder room started as a design disaster before receiving a stunning transformation. It was green, dark, and dreary and stuck in an outdated Southwestern theme (complete with gecko lizard décor.) We knew they needed help fast. Our clients wish was to have a modern, sophisticated bathroom with a little pizzazz. The design required a full demo and included removing the heavy soffit in order to lift the room. To bring in the bling, we chose a unique concave and convex tile to be installed from floor to ceiling. The elegant floating vanity is finished with white quartz countertops and a large vessel sink. The mercury glass pendants in the corner lend a soft glow to the room. Simple and stylish new hardware, commode and porcelain tile flooring play a supporting role in the overall impact. The stars of this powder room are the geometric foil wallpaper and the playful moose trophy head; which pays homage to the clients’ Canadian heritage.

This master bath was reconfigured by opening up the wall between the former tub/shower, and a dry vanity. A new transom window added in much-needed natural light. The floors have radiant heat, with carrara marble hexagon tile. The vanity is semi-custom white oak, with a carrara top. Polished nickel fixtures finish the clean look. Photo: Robert Radifera
