Working with Christine at Breathe Design Studio was all about exploring possibilities. We didn't know if it would be possible to find living room furniture for our high-rise apartment that wouldn't block the view. We did. We had never considered a color palette that was based on dark tones for the walls. It's stunning. We had never ordered furniture directly from Italy before. Christine and Ava at Breathe Design Studio were a pleasure to work with and we were very happy with their recommendations and ideas. We had a difficult design project that required a lot of different rooms and some odd spaces that demanded outside-the-box thinking and a lot of patience as we tried to convey what we were going for without having the vocabulary or the specific ideas to adequately describe it. Christine brought a lot of beautiful and clever ideas to the table to give life to our project and pull it all together. Her suggestions for tile, paint colors, plumbing fixtures and room design were different and cool and the kinds of things we would have never thought of on our own, which is exactly what we wanted when we hired a designer. She was very good about explaining to us why certain things would look good or would not look good and helped us come to the right decisions by offering compelling options but not overwhelming us with alternatives. She was also very flexible and worked with us on budgeting and project scope. Finally, she provided drawings and lists or materials, paint colors, tiles and fixtures for each room so that we were able to provide our builder a blueprint for each area to help him understand those aspects of the project. Christine and Ava were also continually available to answer questions after they had completed their designs, which was a tremendous help as construction evolved and selections became incompatible or unavailable. Christine and Ava were also pleasure to interact with. They were not just smart and efficient but friendly and fun.
