Cat went above and beyond to design a beautiful landscape plan for our house. She utilized existing plants, and added new plantings to really take our yard to the next level and make it all cohesive. She was super easy to work with, and is still able to consult as we implement her plan. Cat is very professional, kind, and super knowledgeable on all things landscaping, a true joy to work with. 10/10 recommend Cat Valand!

We worked with Cat on an hourly basis a few years ago for ideas for our yard. After a recent addition to our home, we needed more help on a plan for our front yard and worked with Cat on a full landscape design plan. She is extremely knowledgeable, has a great eye for design and was so helpful in visualizing how to make the addition fit in with the house through the landscape design. She also turned around the final design very quickly! We felt the work was completely worth what we paid and look forward to fully implementing her design!

Our yard had water issues with the surrounding properties being higher than our property. We had a rock channel installed to funnel surface water around the yard. Based on landscape design reviews, we reached out to Cat to provide a landscape design around the newly created rock channel and surrounding area not landscaped. Her design included 10 different types of plants (deer and drought resistant) that were locally available with a connection to a local landscape installer. In all, 76 plantings were involved that will fill in over the next two to three years. Cat was very helpful in giving us a measured drawing that we used as a blueprint for the design and planting. Her input provided us with a vision that we would not be able to create ourselves.

It has been a pleasure working with Cat Valand. She is very enthusiastic about her work and was diligent trying to understand our needs and desires. After a meticulous survey of the property, Cat created an accurate planning map. It was exciting to review the final plan with her! It has taken several days to "digest" the plan but we're looking forward to its implementation. Great job Cat!

We had a fantastic experience with Cat! We have a large, rural property and have challenges of sunlight and deer. She listened to our desires and did a fantastic job designing a beautiful space - while also offering some alternate ideas - so we could choose our path forward. We are thrilled with her work and highly recommend her!

We recently relocated to Raleigh from out of state, and feel so fortunate to have found Cat! We tasked her with creating a landscape design to include a 50'x70' turf mini-soccer pitch and for the rest of the design to provide privacy, increase patio size and be simple to maintain. She hit a home run. I've attached an image of the pitch. In short, she exceeded our expectations and we would hire her again, without question.

Cat is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The plan she provided to me was comprehensive. There's a page for each plant she includes in the plan which I find extremely helpful.
