Richard, Doris and the entire Davignon Martin Team were wonderful to work with. Not only are they extremely talented and visionary but they posses something that I have found over my years working with Architects and Designers that most do not have........ and that is they are collaborative. This was our first custom home and the DMA team took the time to explain to us the design to construction process and they have a process that keeps them highly organized. Richard's years of experience, creative mind and his attention to detail and creative mind really showed throughout the process. It really is the small details that make the biggest impact! The budget for our project was quite modest in comparison, but Richard and Doris really worked with us to incorporate the elements we wanted within budget. The only regret we have is not relying on their expertise more throughout the construction process to execute our vision. We would definitely work with Richard and his team again!

I hired Davignon Martin Architecture after an extensive interview process with several other highly recommended firms and have never regretted my decision for a moment. They are professional, highly creative, dedicated as well as perfectionists. In late 2013, we commenced a project to design and build our dream home. After interviewing a large number of architectural and design firms, we hired Davignon Martin. We have worked very closely with Richard, Doris and the rest of the D&M team and have been very pleased with their work at every stage. D&M worked very hard to understand our vision and our needs from the outset. Their process for eliciting this information was excellent. This was one of the reasons we decided to go with them. Thereafter, we met with them on numerous occasions to develop a set of plans that really captured what we wanted and always walked away with the view that they were really listening to us. D&M included our contractor in the discussions right from the start with the result that once our plans were finalized, we were quickly able to move into the construction phase. Richard and Doris have been there for us at every stage; be it navigating the permit process, interacting with stakeholders or working on various design elements. They are very solutions orientated and deliver a very high quality customer experience and product. We are pleased to provide our enthusiastic and unqualified recommendation.

I recently purchase a 100 year old house in the Kensington area of Calgary for my personal residence. I had worked with Davignon Martin on other projects and knew that they would be the ideal choice for the renovation and addition I was planning for this house. My plan was to gut the house, add an addition and give it another 100 years. I have a passion for old houses and both Richard and Doris understood that it was important to me to maintain the character of the house while integrating a new addition. The whole process has been very enjoyable and collaborative and the final design provides all the modern conveniences that would be expected in a new house, without sacrificing the "cool" of the old house.

We have had the pleasure of working with the Davignon Martin team on a handful of residential projects to date. They have been incredibly professional and efficient, and create one of a kind architecture and design projects that are truly unique and tailored to the specific clients wants and needs. As a supplier of millwork systems and furnishings for high-end tailored environments, we really appreciate a design and/or architecture firm that places a large emphasis on the details. When my husband and I decided to build a home we knew we wanted to create something not only for our family but for the neighbourhood and for our city. We wanted to build a home that we could drive by in old age, even when we’re no longer the inhabitants, and feel proud to have been a part of. Something that would far outlast us. We spent a lot of time trying to find a architect who could share our vision and who saw our home not as a project of utility but one of art. We also didn’t have never ending pockets to pull from. From our first meeting with Richard and Doris it was clear they were the team to work with. They are wholly committed to their respective crafts. It’s a trait that was evident when we first sat down to speak with them about designing our home, and it’s the reason why we’ve been aligned with them every step of the way. They have put the integrity of our home first -- diving in on every detail, spending countless extra hours ensuring all aspects are carefully considered. Their work is exquisite for these reasons, it has a voice or as they refer to it, a ‘parti’ (soul in French). We couldn’t be more pleased with the end result, and just as importantly, the journey that got us there. They have been measured, reasonable and respectful throughout this process. This was a renovation on a classic modern house in calgary. Davignon Martin provided great architectural work, were very sensitive to the site and the existing house, and were on top of all aspects of a project that wound up being more complex than we'd originally hoped.
