We began working with Spencer in early 2024 on a small lower level bathroom demo and rebuild. The fact that Spencer provides both design and build services was something that played heavily in our decision to contract Haven Works. We highly recommend this type of service; and of course Spencer and Haven Works specifically. Through the design phase Spencer brought our vision to life via software based renderings, which greatly helped us visualize the space in different configurations, materials, and finishes; as well as through the delivery of material samples to our home which helped us make size, colour, and texture decisions within the project environment rather than in stores and warehouses. The demo was quick and efficient with Spencer working alongside his right-hand man Jesse; who was an absolute pleasure to have in our home. Through the entirety of the build phase Spencer, Jesse, and all of Spencer's sub-contractors were fantastic. We greatly appreciated everyone's punctuality, work ethic, attention to detail, and "no-shortcuts allowed" professionalism. We are now just over a year past completion of this project and we still could not be happier with the results. We have received so many compliments on the overall appearance, thoughtful layout, and finishes in the bathroom. We used this project to help us determine how to approach renovation of our master ensuite and upper level bathrooms, and given these results and our overall experiences throughout this project, we are very much looking forward to starting these next projects, and eventual kitchen renovation as well, all under the guidance of Spencer and team. Haven Works renovated our lower level guest bathroom—a relatively small project that many contractors won’t do. Spencer worked within our budget and the finished project has all we wanted to include plus a few upgrades and was significantly under the original quote. Workmanship is excellent! Spencer and Jesse were prompt and efficient every time they were in our home. Email and text communications were helpful. I would use Haven Works again and will recommend them to others.

From initial consultation through to completion, we felt like Spencer and his team were with us and helping us through the whole process. His advice to phase the project in order to cut costs was a definite money saver. The design itself is both functional and beautiful. Throughout every stage of the build, Spencer was accessible and approachable. He was as cost conscious as we were but also not afraid to push back at times so that we understood that what might appear to be a good deal on some supplies was not necessarily so. Since Haven Works did all the work of interfacing with the city planning department, inspectors, etc. we experienced no undue pressure or anxiety. It was also the case that, when supply problems necessitated some change of plans, we were fully consulted and advised as to our options before any decision was made. We are very pleased with the cedar pergola that Spencer and Jesse designed and built for our backyard garden. Throughout the process, Spencer was communicative, knowledgeable, and willing to listen to our input to ensure we were satisfied with the final product. The quote and timeline we received up front was fair, and was honoured, and any problems encountered were quickly rectified in a professional manner. Spencer is a very knowledgeable individual performing remodelling projects. With his architect background, I was able to tap into his design ideas. I found he readily listened to what I wanted done with my kitchen and bathroom and also gave me his feedback ideas too. Spencer performed much of the work himself as well. He sent professional drawings to me along with the cost estimate. His completion timeline was very reasonable and was kept close to what he originally gave me as the finishing date. Small company, and excellent rates. I am extremely happy with the finished project. Customer satisfaction is very important to Spencer.

We recently purchased a 4-level split and did significant renovations on 3 of the four floors. Spencer's support throughout the entire renovation process led us to a finished product that we love.
