“I alway been handy but didn’t have any construction experience. I decided to take a year off work in and adventure by completing an owner builder project of a 2b/2b guest house. I made a few calls and architects were out several months on plans and their fees were no were near my budget. Someone had referred me to Lisa Baesemann. Upon calling she immediately was very informative about city codes and took the time to help me gather a general idea of the size of the guest house I would be allowed to build. It wasn’t about the money; she didn’t even mention it. I felt she was just helping as a person helping another person. That’s when I decided to ask her for a quote on developing my plans for the city. She emailed me a quote soon after talking. I was blessed to have found her. She had my plans completed timely and priced very reasonably. Her and Mr. Baesemann came out to my property and was realistic about my goal giving me great advice. Mr. Baesemann was right to plan going over budget lol. Mrs. Baesmann was skilled in developing the floor plan and detailing the plans for the city. I was able to contact her whenever I had a question. She listened to my requests and added her experience to make them better. Owner building was the most challenging thing I ever did. I think next time I’ll pay the Baesemann’s to do the whole project. I am thankful to God that I was able to complete it. The completed floor plan is soooooo beautiful. I had a dream of building an office with a very limited budget, something I didn't even know would be possible. Sharon took what should have been a plain little box and created space with style and charm, a place I love to be. She not only came up with a few choices of plans but went with me every step of the way to help me make choices on the finish work. Just a few unique additions made my building look special, from the metal overhangs, roof design, and interior cutouts that allowed me to use some special redwood I had.
