As an artist and perfectionist myself who didn't want to attempt a plaster kitchen hood (a showpiece in my newly renovated kitchen), I knew I wanted to hire professionals. They did an amazing job, and I loved their ability to provide recommendations, visuals/samples, and also flexibility to collaborate on what I was trying to achieve. To my fault I wasn't able to give super clear direction, but they somehow still pulled out of my brain exactly what I was looking for! “I have known Lou Ann Weeks for almost a decade and she is an amazing, awesome and talented artist, business woman, and friend. We met through an Artist in Residency Program at my school. For 3 years she led my art students and myself to create permanent, architectural embellisments as mosaic artwork on our buildings in the Commons Area. The eagle, Spirit, is on our elevator shaft and stands about 16'x18', representing the largest mosaic in the county. The main planter underneath boasts of Florida indegenous flora and fauna and the remaining four planters show off historical and aesthetic accomplishments in our human history. Further Lou Ann helped me as I created my own mosaics, a huge wave and my sign for my business, each about 8'x 12'. She also was influential in the creation of an Artist Coop in our city where she was on the board, conducted classes and helped determine the shows . As an artist myself I can attest to her work ethic and craftsmanship and aesthetic eye. I am now hooked on mosaics because of her influence in my life. If you need anything mosaic, here is your resource!”

“I use Katie Hestla artist extraordinaire because she always has such creative input in my client's projects. If I need anything in the way of a special treatment with paint, I call Katie. Walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, fabric, rugs, you name it. We meet for an initial brainstorming session, swap colors and ideas, then proceed to come up with 'the' idea, the plan, the presentation and the price. She is fun, responsible, neat and respectful in every home environment we've worked within. We collaborated on a special installation for a Wish Child for New Hope for Kids where she transformed a whole room and donated her time to bring a great big smile to a child in need. It impacted them to tears. What she freehand drew and painted on the wall was a very special 'family' tree with a heart in the center.
