Featured Reviews for Dry Well Contractors in Calgary

Cyrus landscaping
Dry Well Contractors in Calgary
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsDecember 30, 2025
“CONDO SNOW REMOVAL AND BUILDING LANDSCAPING / MAINTENANCE: Cyrus has taken care of our small self-managed condo building for 3 years. It started with snow removal, and after (coincidentally!) hearing about his exemplary spring clean up services provided to another friend of mine who is EXTREMELY picky, we had Cyrus do both spring and fall cleanup as well as summer tree trimming / property landscaping and power washing. He always has good crews, and if there are ever any issues (because life!) Cyrus comes and takes care of things himself immediately. Our property is not an easy one - with a lot of sidewalk and cement pads, and different entrances - but it’s always well maintained. It still feels very collaborative. This years crew is here at the crack of dawn, and they use a pet-friendly ice melt which we really appreciate as half of the owners have and love our dogs! You won’t regret calling Cyrus. Trust me.”

Jenron Creative Landscapes Inc
Dry Well Contractors in Calgary
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 26, 2018
“Steve and his crews at Jenron were amazing in all facets. From concept and design, through construction and to completion and warranty. Steve is a guy who does what he says he is going to do, on time, on budget, and he over delivered consistently. We were a little gun-shy as we have had a few poor landscape contractor experiences in the past but Steve and his team did a phenomenal job on a challenging and large scale project. Communicative, professional, honest, and talented. Bravo Jenron.”

Landscaper FAQs
The duration depends on the complexity of the project, ranging from a couple of days to several weeks. Preliminary assessment, design phase, obtaining permits, excavation, installation, and landscaping restoration are the main phases. A straightforward project might take a few days, whereas a more complex system involving multiple dry wells or challenging site conditions might take longer.
Materials selection is guided by local soil conditions, the volume of water to be managed, and environmental regulations. Common materials include gravel, perforated pipes, and precast concrete well structures. Design trends lean towards eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing solutions, incorporating rain gardens or landscaping features that complement the dry well system while enhancing the propertyʼs appearance.
Homeowners should clear the project area of personal belongings and provide contractors with access. Itʼs beneficial to discuss with your contractor any concerns about landscaping or features you wish to preserve. Ensure you understand the scope of work and have agreed on a project timeline. Also, verifying that the contractor has obtained the necessary permits is crucial.
Experienced contractors anticipate challenges such as unforeseen underground utilities, poor soil conditions, or water table issues. They often perform thorough site assessments and may adjust the design, involve additional expertise, or utilize specific construction techniques to overcome these challenges. Effective communication throughout the project ensures homeowners are kept informed of any adjustments.
Ideally, look for contractors who have specific experience with dry well systems, hold certifications from reputable organizations in the field of stormwater management, and possess a solid understanding of local environmental regulations. References from past projects similar to yours and a history of compliance with building codes are also key indicators of a reliable contractor.
A reputable contractor should offer guarantees for their work and be willing to address any post-installation issues. Ensure thereʼs a clear contract in place that outlines the scope of work, warranty terms, and dispute resolution procedures. Regular maintenance checks and open lines of communication can help mitigate potential issues before they become significant problems.
