Kitchen Remodelers Near Denver

This kitchen remodel is rooted in thoughtful functionality and architectural respect. The homeowners sought to replace aging cabinetry and outdated systems with a design centered on quality, efficiency, and longevity. While the space required a full modernization, the character of the home remained a priority. Archways and original wood window paneling were carefully preserved to maintain architectural continuity. The result is a transitional kitchen that blends modern performance with timeless craftsmanship. Design Intent: Rather than increasing size or moving walls, the focus was on optimizing the existing footprint. The layout was refined to tighten the work triangle and separate active cooking zones from the breakfast nook and pantry areas, improving flow without structural changes. Key priorities included: - High-function cabinetry with durable hardware - Upgraded appliances, including an induction cooking system - A dedicated refrigerator outlet - A slimline dishwasher and inset microwave - Complete electrical rewire to remove outdated cloth wiring - Lighting was refreshed with updated fixtures while intentionally avoiding recessed lighting to preserve the home’s character. Materials & Features: Material selections balance warmth, durability, and authenticity. Natural surface options such as butcher block or soapstone introduce organic texture, while flooring updates using linoleum or Marmoleum provide long-term performance and visual softness. Additional design features include: - Single-basin undermount sink - Integrated storage for trash, recycling, and compost - Repurposed inset ironing board cabinet, potentially transformed into a spice cabinet - Optional tile backsplash and under-cabinet lighting - Dedicated coffee station in the breakfast nook - Appliance garage to keep counters clean and uncluttered - The design also allows for subtle personalization, including the opportunity to introduce a pop of color within a largely timeless palette. The Finished Space: This remodel demonstrates that transformation doesn’t require expanding walls it requires clarity of purpose. By honoring architectural details while upgrading systems and functionality, the kitchen becomes both a workhorse and a welcoming gathering space. The result is a kitchen built for modern living, grounded in craftsmanship, and designed to serve for decades to come.

The project involved renovating this kitchen, which included removing the old cabinets, drywall, and backsplash. After that, we hung new drywall, installed new cabinets, and hooked up the sink and appliances. We hired a granite company to install the countertops and once that was done, we finished the project by installing the new backsplash. The end result was stunning and it took the homeowner, Phyllis, breath away.
