Blair, owner/operator of Highlander Construction, provided a number of bathroom and other renovation activities for us including conversion of shower to bathtub, building of showers, tile flooring, and wall removal/rebuild. Blair is easy going, accommodating, provided suggestions and performed quality work. He conducts some of the work himself and has recommendations for other specialty trades. He quotes for his labour and charges for miscellaneous supplies. We purchased the major materials (tile, bathtub, drywall). Blair does not provide a general contractor service; it is incumbent on the customer to ensure they know all the activities that need to be performed as part of the project and to budget accordingly - he does help with some guidance in this regard. If one has the knowledge and interest to manage the project oneself, then Blair is a great guy to perform the general construction work.

The father and son duo are informative, upbeat and eager to satisfy a client to ensure they have completed their project which exceeds expectations. I have used Highlander for tiling a full kitchen & back splash, and a complete demolition & re-build of an elevated deck at our Cottage. I hired Highlander Construction Ltd for a full basement renovation, converting my basement into a lounge with wet bar, an office, laundry area and storage.
