Following thorough research and after looking at online photos of his work, I chose Tim Larkin to install crown molding, base molding and door casings in my condo. I can enthusiastically state, “I’m sure glad that I did!” Tim is not only an experienced and expert craftsman, he’s also an artist. Tim took my vision and greatly embellished upon it. (For instance, I had not intended to put anything in a small hallway ceiling with an attic entry. Tim looked at the ceiling and immediately said, “Let me dress that up for you.” I agreed, and the accompanying photo is the result! Who knew that an attic entry could look so fabulous?!!!) Tim’s entire team was incredible. Steve, Logan and Marcus were prompt, courteous and professional. I truly appreciate their hard work and supremely skilled craftsmanship. They performed their work with great precision and care. I could not be happier with how my project turned out. I give T.F. Larkin, Inc. my highest recommendation. Tim and his team did an AMAZING job on our dining room. Tim is a true craftsman with a great eye for design. His crew was courteous, on time, and work very efficiently. We did wainscoting and door/window casings. The room has been completely transformed. It is the highlight of our home. We will be using Tim to transform the rest of the rooms in our home. Tim went above and beyond to help me out. With only 48 hour notice, he came out to La Jolla at 9pm to install crown molding in an office building. Not only did he and his assistant do an amazing job, but he made the whole thing very light and educational. He is a master of his craft and I will definitely be reaching out to Tim when more work comes up.

I can't commend Mr. Larkin and his crew enough! These men are very meticulous, very respectful of the property they work at, and the level of craftsmanship that they display is so much higher than I'm used to frankly. They did baseboards and door casings and they are PERFECT. Seriously perfect. I'll have them back soon to do the crown moulding. If you want to add some class to your home, you really need to call Mr. Larkin. And many thanks to his crew, Logan, Blake, Steve and Elliot. You gentleman are awesome!

Tim did crown in our entire house and it looks INCREDIBLE. Totally changed the look and feel of the house. He also did some trim work and detail work including a "fireplace extravaganza" (his words) which detailed the master fireplace and wall area above (for a wall mount tv). Looks amazing. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend him. His crew was polite, fast, efficient, and clean.

Tim and his crew -- Marcus, Logan, Steve and Joshua -- were terrific. They arrived on time and finished on time each day. They were respectful and well-mannered. The moulding project took exactly as long as indicated. I highly recommend Tim Larkin's moulding company. What a difference the project made to the look of the house. This was one of the most outstanding projects I've had done.

Tim and his crew installed crown molding, baseboard and window casings in our newly remodeled master bath. Tim is very detail-oriented, made several useful suggestions from the beginning, and kept fixing minor problems with our existing trim, as the work went along. Tim brought in his crew and the entire job was finished in just a day in a half. The result is outstanding. With the new trim, our already beautiful bathroom was elevated to a higher level of luxury. I am especially happy with the way our windows look now - very upscale. I would not hesitate recommending TF Larkin Inc to anyone who is looking for a high quality finish carpenter. The pricing was quite reasonable for the quality of work.

I have a two bedroom condo in MIRA LAGO and had Tim's company do the entire condo base boards and Crown Molding 1350 sq. ft. This condo has a tremendous number of corners and angles but none stopped him from accomplishing wonders... I have had three friends who saw the finished product and had Tim do thier homes... He is exceptionally professional in ALL aspects of his work and I would be more than willing to have anyone wishing to do this work in thier home contact me and schedule a visit to my condo to see the finished product. We purchased a new house and I wanted it to be spectacular - finally getting my dream home... Only I realize quickly that my windows have no trim and my ceilings have no crown. Whaaat? So I go to Angie's list and I search for San Diego crown moulding. I find TF Larkin, look at his info and then come to Houzz to search for pictures and get ideas. I stumble over a picture I like and who is the contractor? TF Larkin. Done - call him up and ask for a quote. Tim shows up on time and reviews my house and listens to my requests and my ideas. He measures all my windows (for window trim / moulding) and measures the rooms for estimates on crown. Tim and I discussed and reviewed options - he's a true craftsman. He listened and made suggestions and really helped me think about how awesome it could be and what elements I'd overlooked. He showed me pictures and gave my ideas and took my ideas and built on them - genuinely trying to ensure we consider the options and how to make the house grand with moulding. Tim picked up on my style and my preferences and soon the ideas and plans were coming together! Long story short - we hired Tim and his crew to do family room, kitchen, dining nook and master bedroom crown plus window trim on all the windows in the house. We couldn't be happier with the crown and the moulding. We had pre-existing kitchen moulding around the cabinets and the stove top exhaust. Tim did his magic moulding matching trick and made the new crown blend right into the old crown. It is different colors but there is the illusion that it is all the same - and just painted differently. Just look at his pictures - and you can see how he can seemingly 'bend' the crown to achieve things us normal folks wouldn't even attempt... Tim is really good at math and figuring the angles and how to get the wood to do what he wants - and he's taught his secrets to his crew. Speaking of his crew - they are polite and professional and really good at their job. They introduced themselves, made sure I knew who was on the job and when they'd be back in the AM (week + job) and who to expect and what was the game plan for the day. They finished early and on budget. I just wish I had 'spare' money to finish the rest of the house! If you need crown or wainscoting or trim - call TF Larkin. They are professionals that you want to do business with.

I had TF Larkin & Co, install crown molding to my entire home and it looks just as great as it did 15 years ago when it was installed. I had a an angle stop explode in my upstairs bathroom and it took out my whole bathroom ceiling & crown molding in the downstairs bathroom. I hired a RECOMMENDED contractor and thats when the trouble started. When the contractor finished, I noticed that there were 4 miss cuts in the crown that were separating more by the day. I called Mr Larkin (which I should have done to begin with) to give me a bid on fixing the mess that the other contractor did to the crown. When Mr. Larkin came to give me the bid , he noticed the miss cuts as well as the crown was installed UP SIDE DOWN. I hired Mr Larkin to redo the crown and just as before he did a PERFECT JOB.

Tim was recommended to my by my decorator about five years ago. He has transformed our home! Tim and his team custom built a fireplace mantle to my specifications, installed wainscoting in my dining room, built up the ceiling beams in the living room and added crown molding and baseboards throught the house. He is truly professional, artistic and reliable. I also thoroughly respect his management style and the fact that he serves as a mentor to young workers who are learning his craft - like an apprentice. When it comes time for the remodel of the kitchen and addition of the bar to our great room, he is the only phone call I will make!

I would give Tim Larkin and team 10 stars on a 5 point scale if I could. Our experience in working with Tim and his crew went above our expectations. Here are a few noted items: 1. They are an exceptionally professional team. Their politeness/manners (I have 3 young kids who at times create obstacles for workers) and their enthusiasm for their craft was wonderful. 2. Their amazing talent and attention to detail - you won't find anyone better. And on this note, that's also why they aren't the cheapest. But you get what you pay for and they were worth every penny we paid. 3. And last but not least - Mr. Tim Larkin himself. He is a designer - a truly talented and creative designer who can "see" ideas and overcome challenges with angles, crazy corners, you name it....he can do it. He is personable (as is his team) and he is able to explain complex ideas in layman's terms. I realize I'm gushing but it's been so very long since I worked with such professionals with outstanding work ethic and pride in workmanship. I can't wait to have Tim and his team work on our next project!!! ***I'll upload photos after our painting is complete next week.
