Wise Builders Remodeling

We decided we needed to remodel our kitchen. We did a full remodel, except for the floors which were part of the downstairs hardwood floors. We were concerned about aging in place. It was important to us to have cabinets and drawers that met our needs. We worked with Michael. He was very good about guiding us through the process. It is an intense few weeks picking out cabinets, fixtures, appliances, etc. Once we got started with the remodel, it was a dusty few weeks. Juan is the kind of person you want to do the hard work of remodeling. He is easy to work with. He wants to make sure that you are satisfied with what is being done. He is competent, kind, efficient. He doesn't slack off. One day when he had finished what he was supposed to get done that day, he looked around to find other things to do before his normal quitting time. They cleaned up after every day's work. He added little touches that make a big difference. Michael was good about checking in with us and with Juan to make sure the project ran smoothly and in a timely fashion. One very smart thing that Wise does is to book the City permit inspections as quickly as possible, and looks for cancellations so that you aren't hanging waiting for the job to go forward because the inspection needs to be done. We had two minor glitches - one a sink arrived damaged and had to be replaced. And the city inspector wanted one type of tape on the duct work and Juan used another kind. But Juan had the kind of tape inspector wanted on hand. Juan retaped the duct with the specified tape. Because Wise had prebooked the follow up inspection, it only delayed the permit by two days instead of the several weeks wait time at the City. After the remodel was completed, we did a thorough inspection of what had been missed. There were only a couple of minor things that could be fixed in a few minutes. But there was one item that was bigger. The wood floors by the sliding doors had part of the finish removed. We thought it might have been partly due to the tape that was put down to protect floors picking up the finish on some sun damaged planks. Wise thought the finish might have been damaged on the sun damaged planks before the tape was put down. However, Michael just said that it would be taken care of and Juan replaced the few planks that were damaged. Wise did not quibble, argue or complain about this. It just did the work to our satisfaction without extra cost. You may be wondering about the cost. Wise Builders won't be the cheapest remodeler you will find. But the attitude of above and beyond is worth the extra cost. We didn't have to worry about the permits, minor change orders, incompetent workmen, delays, etc. When we thought about the whole process, we felt the price was worth it and a good value.

We spent almost six years dreaming about remodeling our kitchen, and this year, we hired Wise Builders to handle it. We could not have been happier! The remodel included (among other things): taking the kitchen down to the studs/subfloor to check for damage, the removal of walls, the building of a pantry and additional storage closet between the kitchen and entryway, the replacement of a window, installation of new cabinets, countertops, flooring, fixtures, and lighting, the replacement of a standard water heater with a tankless water heater and water softener, and the installation of tile on a fireplace (dining room). They did this all while we continued to live in our house, and it was a good experience. They were courteous and kept dust in the rest of the house to a minimum. Michael G. (the project manager) as great to work with. We interviewed four companies, but Michael won the bid. From the beginning, I knew that I was in good hands, and he guided us through every decision and unexpected circumstance. His foremen (Carlos and Juan) and their team (including Roberto and Kevin) worked really hard to make our vision a reality. Shout out to Michelle as well, who designed the cabinet layout. We would definitely hire Wise again, and I'd recommend working with Wise (and especially Michael) to anyone.

We hired Wise Builders for our home renovation project. We interviewed several contractors, it was clear that Wise was a good choice. They were quick to reply to any questions we had throughout the project. In addition, we got real time updates of the projects through a chat group setup with Michele and team to ensure quick communication with everyone involved. Michele was the project manager and was great. She was a very good designer, and she helped us renovate our kitchen and bathrooms alongside her team of contractors. I liked the kitchen and bathroom choices of paint color, hardware and layout of the overall design. We are happy with the results and the outstanding quality of work delivered by Wise Builders. Working with Wise Builders and Michele made the remodeling experience a great one and we are so happy with everything! We highly recommend Wise Builders and Michele for any home renovation project without any hesitation.

After getting 5 quotes from contractors to complete major renovations to our newly purchased home, we went ahead with Wise Builders because they had the best combination of knowledge, professionalism, honesty and cost. We are so glad we went with them because the entire process went very smoothly and everything looks great. We worked with Michele Crawford as our designer and project manager. She assured us from the beginning that she would manage the entire project and will make sure that we would be able to move in by our deadline (in six weeks). She kept her word, and her team worked hard to ensure that we were able to move in as promised. We did a full bathroom remodel, two fireplaces removal and renovation, whole house painting, demolished existing flooring and installed new hardwood floors, installed new recessed lighting (around fifty five) and removed some shutters off the wall, some major drywall repair. Michele Crawford was amazing! She was timely, very organized, and eager to solve any minor/ major obstacles. She worked with us closely & listened to us and helped us procure all the raw material needed for the remodel. In general, we had great dialogue about design choices plus materials. In terms of project management she was very proactive and responsive. She was extremely professional, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She kept us informed every step of the way and was always available to answer any questions we had. We had read great reviews about her and we had specifically requested for her to manage our project and we are so glad that we did. Thank you Wise for putting her on our job. The entire crew was very responsive, which is simply a major help in keeping the project on track. The construction crew led by Tony and Daniel did an amazing job with the craftsmanship. Tony did an amazing job with the recessed lights layout and install. He was so patient and showed us various lighting options and has a great design sense. Daniel and his team did a great job with fireplace layout and whole house painting and flooring. Daniel was very patient and offered great solutions and gave very sound and practical advice. The entire crew was polite, hardworking, and paid close attention to the details to ensure the final result was exactly what we had envisioned. The quality of their work is simply outstanding. As expected with this magnitude of work there were some hiccups along the way. However each and every issue was taken care off. Wise also contacted us few times to ensure that everything was going as per our expectations and asked for constant feedback. The renovation was completed on time and the end product is better than we could have hoped for. My daughter is very thrilled with her new bathroom.We would highly recommend Wise Builders to anyone considering a home renovation project. Wise Builders was a great choice for us.

We used Wise Builders to completely remodel our kitchen/laundry rooms, as well as, upgrade our family and dining rooms. The construction team was wonderful. They worked long, hard days, cleaned-up every evening and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. The employees were skilled, did excellent work and made time to keep us fully informed on their daily activity. The head contractor routinely check-in with us to make sure we felt confident on the progress being made. We particularly like Wise Builders' business model of having the design manager, Michele Crawford, being the liaison for the whole project. She is a seasoned designer, an amazing problem solver and we relied heavily on her advise/recommendations for our design selection. The end result of this project exceeded our expectations. We now have a stunning kitchen. And, believe it or not, we are going to miss having them around. We highly recommend this company and their designer.

I had an excellent experience with Wise Builders from start to finish. This was a complete bathroom renovation. Aaron Abramov was the project manager and he was true to his word, beginning to end. He is a superior communicator and is very responsive to emails, texts, or phone calls. The foreman, Angel, made sure everything was done correctly and if there was a problem, he would be sure it was fixed. He was on site just about every day. The crew was very amiable and hard working. With the help of Wise, all components were decided on and purchased before the project started. There were no holdups (actually two items were on brief back order) for materials. The project was supposed to take four to seven weeks and it was finished and signed off by the inspector in four. I really didn't think it could be done in that amount of time. I enjoyed working with Wise and hope to do another project with them. I have been involved in several remodels and additions with other contractors over the years, and this one with Wise was by far the best of all the experiences.

Wise builders did a condo master bath remodel for me. I am thoroughly satisfied with the final product. I feel like I am doing my hygiene in a 5 star hotel. Nir Bachar was my project manager and Manny and Michael did the labor. Enjoyable gentleman to have in my home and skilled at their craft. I plan to call Wise this summer for more work I want to do to freshen up my condo. My experience with Wise was excellent and I would recommend them to others.

I hired Wise Builders to complete a $150K kitchen remodel that included removing a wall, installing semi-custom cabinetry, a new fireplace, and new flooring and lighting throughout the house. Joseph and his team were all a great pleasure to work with, super responsive and did an excellent job. Their attention to detail was outstanding and the resulting work came out beautifully. It was of course a months-long project with a lot of moving parts and decisions to make, but Joseph kept things on track and there were hardly any hiccups or unexpected issues. The vendors I was introduced to were all great to work with as well. The overall cost of the project was quite reasonable given everything that was done and in the end came in at exactly what had been projected. I'm so happy with my new house and would highly recommend Wise Builders.

I did a whole townhouse remodel with Wise Builders which included, kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, fireplace, paint, flooring etc. One of the main reasons I selected Wise Builders was based on initial dealings with project manager Joseph. He was professional and explained their remodel process in detail so I could understand how things would work. Throughout the entire process, design, selecting materials, demo and build, Joseph kept me in the loop, answered my questions and I always knew what was happening at my home. The subcontractors working on the job were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Of course, there were a few issues that cropped up, but they were communicated and expediently handled so there were no delays. Overall, the whole process seemed so easy and stress free for me. I definitely recommend Wise Builders.

We own a townhouse that has a typical configuration with a large front room, small kitchen in the rear, and stairs reversing on themselves that separate those two rooms. There is a second large living area in the rear. The front room is so separated from the other areas that it is mostly unused. Our vision was to move the stairs to the side of the front room, thereby opening up the entire downstairs area and creating a large kitchen with island. We had no knowledge of whether this was possible from an engineering perspective, because we wanted no structural support for the upstairs to be visible downstairs. We met Nathan and from the first conversation he demonstrated an "anything is possible" attitude. This attitude and his obvious depth of knowledge and experience convinced us to work with Wise Builders. Fast forward and his confidence proved to be soundly based. It was a complex engineering project, but Wise has access to all of the necessary experts and the Wise team are experts in their respective areas. The tradesmen are highly skilled and take pride in their work. Michele worked with us to design the kitchen to our exacting standards. No changes phased her and she had all of the answers to our questions. Nathan is extremely communicative, kept us informed along the way, shared his opinions and offered alternatives for every situation. The cost blew out beyond the original budget, however, there were surprises that could not have been known due to the secrets hidden within the walls that impacted engineering, plus we are guilty of significant scope creep as we repeatedly took advantage of the building works being in progress to add upgrades work along the way. The scope changes never phased Nathan or his team. We would not change any of our decisions on this project. Our vision was realized.

I cannot recommend enough! Our project included a kitchen remodel, new flooring, and recessed lighting throughout the home. The final result exceeded our expectations and has made our newly purchased home more functional, as well as more comfortable. The project was completed in lightning speed (~40% faster than original quote, which was reasonable to begin with), but certainly without compromising on quality. Everything turned out beautiful!
