Interior Designers & House Decorators Near Portland Maine

“Highly recommend The Good Home Interiors & Design! We hired The Good Home to renovate our house in Maine, and they transformed it in just four months. They managed everything: the design, our move-out, construction, every finish, and our move back in. We never had to coordinate a single contractor or chase down a detail. They were also a joy to work with. They were easy to talk to, quick to respond to every question and text, and they made the whole process fun. A renovation this big could easily have been stressful, but they kept it organized and upbeat from start to finish. The kitchen is now the heart of the house. Crisp white shaker cabinetry runs to the ceiling, and the centerpiece is a huge island topped with gorgeous gray/blue-and-white veined stone that seats six, with a deep under-mount sink. A soft, textured tile backsplash ties it all together. Across the room they built a coffee bar that’s become a favorite spot for guests. The walk-in pantry is a dream. It has custom white shelving, cabinetry, and a warm butcher-block counter, with room for everything from small appliances to entertaining pieces. The dining nook got a built-in window bench with navy cushions, framed by big windows that look straight out to the water. It’s the best seat in the house. The living room has a stunning new focal point: a full shiplap wall with a dark tile fireplace surround and a stone mantel. New recessed lighting and refinished floors make the whole space feel fresh and open. The primary bathroom feels like a spa. They used soft blue cabinetry with polished chrome hardware, a striking blue-and-white marble mosaic, a frameless glass shower, and a deep soaking tub surrounded by sparkling quartz. Marble-look tile floors, a built-in shelving tower for towels, and a sculptural flower-shaped ceiling light add to it. It’s elegant and calm, and every detail was thought through. Upstairs, they tore out an old, outdated kitchen and reimagined the space completely. It now has a fun bar area for entertaining and a brand-new bathroom, which turned an awkward space into one of the most useful parts of the house. The new mudroom entry gives us a place to drop coats, boots, and bags as soon as we walk in. It’s both practical and charming. Light hardwood floors and shiplap now carry through the house, so everything flows together beautifully. The design is polished and classic, and it still feels completely like us. To take on a renovation this size, finish it in four months, and deliver this level of quality, while being responsive, willing to listen to our input, easy to work with, and genuinely fun, is remarkable. If you’re considering a renovation, call The Good Home. You won’t regret it.”

“We had a great experience working with Robin to do a refresh on our living room. She was organized and well-informed. She is a good listener who steered our ideas gently so that we got a result we are very happy with.”

“e4 is incredible! From the start of our renovation project through the final punch list, Emily and Anthony have been phenomenal partners. Emily took time to get to know us and our style, worked well with our contractor team (they loved working with her!), was an incredible and creative project solver when needed, helped us stay within our established budget, and ultimately gave us a final product that surpasses our expectations. We absolutely love it. We would work with e4 again in a heartbeat. They run an honest, high quality, and personable business that we were happy to support.”
