DMH DESIGN

Met with Dana on October 11, 2013. Hired him to design a residential elevator for my home. We met him, liked him, wrote him a check for $6,000 which was half of his original fee. We signed his contract and he toured our home, inside and out including the garage. He came back the next day with his girlfriend to measure all areas. He had recommended an alternate design and I asked that he draw it up so I could visualize it. After several calls in December and one meeting that had to be cancelled due to a scheduling conflict we tried to contact him to no avail. Plans were delivered to the house with sketches for his alternate location, a sketch for a location which we never asked for which would have been impossible to accomplish, and no sketch for what we asked for. My husband reached him one time on his cell phone and he said he couldn't discuss our project and didn't know when he could. Then he went to Ca and took our money with him.

Dana consulted on the renovation of a 1964 mid-century home I flipped in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. His work and ideas were great. I can't recommend him highly enough. I strive to do very good work, but I also have investors who are expecting a good return on their investment. Dana is able to balance both sides of the equation (beautiful design and cost effectiveness) that helped us restore this home into something the buyers LOVE at a cost that keeps my investors happy. 5 stars!

Dana helped design our remodel in Kirkland. He was great to work with and came up with an amazing design that helped with overall functioning of our home. I really liked that Dana really understands not only how houses are built and ways to save us money with our design, but also took time to understand what we wanted for the "feel" of our house. I remember he said if we put the window here that will involve a structural engineer and if it goes here it won't. Things we were clueless on but made it so we could make better choices for our budget. He easily worked with us on our budget. When it was time for permits, he submitted them and waited in the office that day to answer any of their questions. It was the fastest permit process I have seen! When he met with our contractor, he again was easy to work with and was respected by them. Overall a great experience and highly recommended. He helped design a two story remodel with a great room kitchen design, bathroom, powder room, play room, and kids room.

DMH Design has completed three design projects for me. Two bathrooms and a kitchen. The second bathroom is in process right now but the first two have been extremely successful and frankly have turned out beautiful and utilitarian. DMH Design not only helps you with the plans but also has a wealth of resources for reliable people to help with the construction. Tile masons, carpenters, plumbers and electricians.
