We had a wonderful experience working with Marvista on a three-bathroom renovation in our 100-year-old Squirrel Hill home. This was a huge undertaking and the biggest project we have done in our home to date. All three bathrooms were in various states of disrepair and required gutting down to the studs. We were nervous going in, but from start to finish, the entire team was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive, and we truly felt taken care of throughout the process. Our project manager, Verica, deserves special recognition. She did an outstanding job guiding us through what could have been a stressful renovation. She kept us informed, calm, and on schedule every step of the way. Her communication was excellent, and it always felt like she was one step ahead, making sure nothing fell through the cracks. The craftsmanship was equally impressive. The carpenters and tile team did beautiful work with great attention to detail, and the quality really shows in the finished spaces. Our designer, Lindsay, was also fantastic. She oversaw the design of our project and worked closely with us to help narrow down our ideas, and she thoughtfully incorporated our inspiration photos, and translated everything into a design that feels both cohesive and very personal. The final result is a set of bathrooms that are unique, true to the character of our home, and truly “us.” Marvista is a company that consistently shows up (in every sense of the word), communicates clearly, and treats their clients with care and respect. The entire process went more smoothly than we could have imagined. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to any friends or family looking for a team to oversee a major renovation. We’re so grateful for the experience, and absolutely love the outcome.

We hired Marvista Design and Build to complete extensive renovations on our kitchen and the flooring throughout the entire first floor. Our experience with them was outstanding from start to finish. 1. They brought in a designer who worked closely with us to understand what we wanted and to make sure the design complemented the rest of the home. She was on site multiple times and helped us get everything just right. 2. The quality of materials was excellent. The kitchen cabinets and flooring feel high quality and durable. Absolutely worth the investment. 3. The craftsmanship was exceptional. Every element, from the flooring installation to the cabinetry, was completed with precision and care. 4. The recessed lighting was installed perfectly. It is well positioned and neatly finished. 5. Near the end of the project, we realized we were not happy with how one of the central features, the coffee bar, turned out. The team immediately proposed an alternative design and reworked it within the original budget. That level of flexibility and professionalism really stood out. 6. The price was fair for the quality of work. Excellent results are never inexpensive, and we feel we received great value. 7. The project was completed on time and within budget. The team was consistently present, and the project manager kept us informed at every step. Communication was clear and consistent, and the process moved forward smoothly. Marvista exceeded our expectations in every way. They are professional, talented, and committed to delivering high quality work. We would gladly hire them again.

Marvista Design and Build just completed a large renovation in my home - an elevator installation and a kitchen renovation. Although I am an experienced renovator, I had not previously worked with a design/build firm so wasn't sure what to expect. I handed over my keys and left town for 3 months, which seemed very risky to me. Much to my astonishment, the project went incredibly smoothly and was completed on time and on budget - to the penny! Any issues that arose were handled by the amazing designer and project manager. The project manager is an awesome communicator, and I received an email with photos almost every day. The finished project has exceeded my expectations - such fabulous workmanship! The design was executed flawlessly. It is quite obvious that a professional designer was behind every decision. In short, if you are meticulous and detail-oriented, you will be delighted to work with Marvista. Hats off to this fabulous company!

I hired Marvista to do pretty extensive renovations on our living room and kitchen. They installed built-in bookcases in the living room and added recessed lighting. The kitchen was gutted and completely renovated (recessed lighting was installed as well). The work they did exceeded expectations: 1) They brought in a designer who helped us lay out exactly what we wanted. 2) The quality of the materials (wood bookcases and kitchen cabinets) is top-notch. We got what we paid for. 3) The craftsman who installed the wood bookcases and kitchen cabinets is a true artist. He completed the work a year ago, and to this day we have never found a single mistake in workmanship. Pretty remarkable. 4) The electrician did a phenomenal job of installing recessed lighting. Again, no glitches or mistakes. 5) When they accidentally installed a sink that was too small, they replaced it with the correct size, no questions asked. This impressed me. Every home remodel will have mistakes. A good contractor has integrity and fixes those mistakes. Marvista proved that they were trustworthy and had integrity. 6) The price for the remodel was very fair. It wasn't cheap, but top-notch work is never cheap. They told us exactly how much it would cost at the beginning and they kept to it. 7) The work was completed within a reasonable time frame. They worked on the project everyday and didn't leave us hanging. Excellent work!!!!!

After meeting with several kitchen design and remodeling companies in the Pittsburgh area, we chose Marvista largely due to Emily's awesome design. Our project was a complete renovation of an awkward, small and very closed-off kitchen of our 1920's home. Emily maximized the use of our space and encouraged us to remove a portion of a wall which has completely changed the look and feel of our kitchen and first floor. She understood our blend of traditional and transitional style and was very easy to work with. Marvista's entire team was exceptional from start to finish. Our project manager, carpenter and crew did an amazing job and were very detailed and thorough. Communication was excellent and it was clear that our satisfaction was important. Our two-year-old son and dogs thought the guys were part of our family and missed everyone once the project was completed! We would highly recommend Marvista to family and friends ( and we already have!)

Emily has a great personality and is very Talented in her visual interpretation of the spaces she specifies. I believe I am very lucky to be able to work with her, here in Pittsburgh and The work of Marvista speaks for itself in the projects they have uploaded. I am currently putting together plans for a kitchen and five bathrooms and will be buying cabinets from her, as she is very easy to work with and I don't have to worry about not having parts. Asked Marvista to help reconfigure a difficult kitchen. Their plan was to simply replace the cabinets with new, there was no change, at all, in the inefficient layout. The reason we had them come to give an estimate was to leverage their design skills. We did not see it.

Kitchen+ Renovation Scope - Completely gutted and doubled the size of our kitchen, replaced bay window with bay door, opened front staircase, added new lighting and hardwood flooring throughout 1st floor. Overview - In short, our livelihood has improved dramatically as a result of our upgraded home. Marvista does a masterful job of leveraging talented individuals from many trades and training to form a wonderful team that is committed to make the customer happy. Team - After her initial visit to our home, it was clear that our designer, Emily, was a great listener and a true professional. She captured everything in her plans that we were hoping to gain with our new "kitchen". She kept the charm while completely modernizing all areas of the new space and suggested varying materials, colors, and cabinet solutions which we would never have considered. It was a joy to see her inspiration come to life. Just like everyone else that we met from Marvista, our lead craftsman, Mike, was only interested in us being entirely satisfied with the job. Every decision was anchored with, "The only thing that matters is that you guys are happy with this...". He, like Emily, was also a great listener. We never once got the feeling that our many questions were upsetting him or keeping him from completing a task. He's also a true artist. There are many finishing touches throughout our house where Mike went the extra mile to ensure that everything looked and functioned the way it should. He truly put his pride into our house. He also cleaned up his work area every single day! Between Mike and the Project Manager, Paul, the communication was fantastic. We always knew which individuals would be at our house and when. They did a great job on juggling the HVAC, drywall, painting, and electrical contractors throughout the project. Each of those individuals were excellent to work with as well. Paul was always in touch with us making sure that we were happy and that any open items were properly resolved. Summary - One of the things that sold us on Marvista was their commitment to being ON the job until it was finished. This promise was kept to the letter. No one likes the inconvenience of not having a kitchen, but they kept the discomfort to an absolute minimum. In the end, we love our new place. Our kids talk about it every day. The quality is exceptional, and their attitude and professionalism was so very much appreciated. The job was completed on time and within budget. We would recommend Marvista K & B to anyone.

I hired Marvista to replace a bedroom ceiling, to build a new bathroom shower, and to support a section of the house, which was sagging. All of the work was performed in a professional manner, to my liking, and at the agreed upon price. I recommend the company without hesitation.
