A project of our size and complexity will inevitably have some miscommunications and mistakes, but Brad and his team (especially Aaron, thanks Aaron!) helped us sort it all out and deliver the home we dreamed of. Brad was willing to come on board to our project even though it was extremely short notice and was already half-complete, after we were forced to fire our first general contractor... Brad took on the oversight of numerous sub-contractors he never worked with before, saving us a lot of time and effort. He also helped us navigate and correct a lot of unfortunate situations where things weren't done right by the first contractor. Our house even caught fire 1 week before we moved-in (not at all Ambrose's fault)! That is how much of a pain our project was. But Ambrose still stood by their work, warrantied it, and demonstrated their impressive commitment to making sure we are happy. In the end, even with the fire delay, our project was still done on time and on budget. I only regret we didn't hire them from the start.

We are an Architecture firm that has worked with Ambrose on some of our projects. Brad and his team are fantastic. They're professional, timely, and organized. They do what they say they are going to do and are always fair throughout the entire process. They're always high on our list of contractors we recommend to clients and can't say enough great things about them.

I have perhaps a unique view of Ambrose Construction and that is as one of their subcontractors. We have done a few projects with them and the experience was a pleasure from beginning to end. They communicated well and timely, were very clear as to expectations and work responsibility and yet were very receptive to our ideas and suggestions. We felt like a valuable member of his team and were respected as such. They are genuine people of integrity and it shows in there professionalism. They were kind, considerate, tidy and efficient. They took the custom cabinets we made and expertly installed them to our very high standards. The projects were comprehensive and complex and they turned out fantastic. It was a great partnership and one we look forward to continue developing with future collaborative projects.

I have worked with Ambrose Construction both as an Architect and as a client. Both experiences exceeded my expectations. Their estimates are accurate and change orders really only occur when the scope of work changes. They are very responsive and clear in their communication. All of their work is top notch and their attention to detail is impressive. Across the board the crew at Ambrose are all good guys and great to have around. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or recommend them.

We worked with Ambrose Construction on the remodel of the kitchen in our 1927 tudor-style home. Ambrose was very professional, and the project was on time and on budget, with extremely high quality workmanship. The people we worked with at Ambrose were responsive to our needs and were able to accommodate change requests without too much additional hassle or expense. We will definitely work with Ambrose Construction again on another remodel project in our historic home.

As a principal at SHED Architecture and Design, a big part of my job is working with contractors...of all sorts and at various price points. Given this experience a great contractor is easy to recognize. Projects run smoothly, problem solving is proactive and collaborative, craftsmanship is top notch, budgets and schedules are met, projects are fun, and our clients are happy. That's how it's been on the 4 projects we've worked on with Ambrose in recent years. It starts with a very thorough bid process that results in solid numbers that they stand behind. This facilitates cost cutting when necessary and minimizes surprises during construction. They take the schedule just as seriously and think things through up front so that materials and subs show up at the right time and construction keeps moving. Project management is proactive and communication via emails, site meetings, and project management software helps keep everyone in the loop and facilitates decision making and problem solving. All this enables the skilled and committed craftsman of Ambrose to efficiently achieve very high levels of quality. I enthusiastically recommend the Ambrose Construction team who together deliver a service few if any can match.

We hired Ambrose in the most difficult circumstances. Our previous contractor had left us in the lurch, after our 3 month basement remodel had gone on for about 15 months. Ambrose had to pick up the completion, and solve a tricky problem related to the entrance that had stumped the other guys. We could not be more pleased with the results. Brad and company were kind, respectful. skilled and able to manage time and money as they predicted. I can't emphasize enough how essential it is to hire a company with a business model that features a business project manager in addition to the construction crew and etc. Matt, the person doing this function, was a marvel of communication clarity, and a very sweet guy besides. The lead carpenter, Jason, was also a peach; offering frequent updates and clear descriptions of his process. All this, while he was involved in his own wedding. He really didn't let his life interfere with his work, but accomplished both with seeming minimal stress. The entire team worked together, and in concert with the subs and our stellar architect, Terry Mulholland of Mulholland Designs with a genuinely collaborative style. You might think from this review that the process was seamless. It wasn't; deeply unpleasant problems surfaced in the final phase of construction due to the work of our earlier contractor. For example, we needed to replace a new (5K) window, which was the wrong size for permitting (!) Ambrose made a lovely new installation that helped us feel better about the wasted time and money. As another example, we failed the electrical permit in the last moment. Ambrose was quick with a solution and its implementation, and this situation was resolved within a day or two. The completed design involved removing a garage wall and adding a deck, trellis, Corten steel planter, carriage doors and studio entrance. The result is modern and elegant. I have affixed a couple of photos to illustrate the quality of the construction. We really cannot recommend enough Ambrose Construction. Together with Terry Mulholland, they salvaged our damaged faith in the construction industry.

Brad and his team are excellent craftspeople with great problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. They deliver on time and are completely trustworthy, and they're always nice to have around. We first hired Ambrose in 2011 to build a kitchenette in our garage apartment, convert part of our garage to a multipurpose playroom, and then completely remodel our kitchen and entryway to our house. It was an involved project and we are very happy with how everything turned out. Almost two years later we hired them to remodel our master bath, along with replacing almost all the closet doors in the house, install some built-in shelving, and build a new door to the master bedroom. Again, we are delighted with the work!

Ambrose Construction provides high quality construction services. I am an architect and co-owner of Floisand Studio. We recently partnered with Ambrose to construct a new single family home on Mercer Island, Washington. Ambrose's team was conscientious, highly detail oriented, and professional. They brought a great aesthetic eye and excellent craftsmanship to the project. I would unhesitatingly recommend them to my clients for future projects and look forward to working with them again.
