A long-term client was expecting her third child. Alas, this meant that baby number two was getting booted from the coveted nursery as his sister before him had. The most convenient room in the house for the son, was dad’s home office, and dad would be relocated into the garage carriage house.
For the new bedroom, mom requested a bold, colorful space with a truck theme.
The existing office had no door and was located at the end of a long dark hallway that had been painted black by the last homeowners. First order of business was to lighten the hall and create a wall space for functioning doors. The awkward architecture of the room with 3 alcove windows, slanted ceilings and built-in bookcases proved an inconvenient location for furniture placement. We opted to place the bed close the wall so the two-year-old wouldn’t fall out. The solid wood bed and nightstand were constructed in the US and painted in vibrant shades to match the bedding and roman shades. The amazing irregular wall stripes were inherited from the previous homeowner but were also black and proved too dark for a toddler. Both myself and the client loved them and decided to have them re-painted in a daring blue. The daring fabric used on the windows counter- balance the wall stripes.
Window seats and a built-in toy storage were constructed to make use of the alcove windows. Now, the room is not only fun and bright, but functional.

JF's Matthew Lord designed a simple and stylish eating space for the breakfast area. It included built in banquettes with under-seat storage that are paneled to mimic the cabinetry and also painted white. The antique Oak breakfast table is reminiscent of a picnic table, especially with the large window looking out to the yard.

Cool & Contemporary is the vibe our clients were seeking out. Phase 1 complete for this El Paso Westside project. Consistent with the homes architecture and lifestyle creates a space to handle all occasions. Early morning coffee on the patio or around the firepit, smores, drinks, relaxing, reading & maybe a little dancing. Cedar planks set on raw steel post create a cozy atmosphere. Sitting or laying down on cushions and pillows atop the smooth buff leuders limestone bench with your feet popped up on the custom gas firepit. Raw steel veneer, limestone cap and stainless steel fire fixtures complete the sleek contemporary feels. Concrete steps & path lights beam up and accentuates the focal setting. To prep for phase 2, ground cover pathways and areas are ready for the new outdoor movie projector, more privacy, picnic area, permanent seating, landscape and lighting to come.

A local, repeat customer has updated the "man cave" in her home with a long custom bench cushion by Patio Lane done in Sunbrella Linen Stone with contrast double welting in Sunbrella Canvas Sapphire Blue. She topped it off with a couple matching Quick-Ship Throw Pillows.
This before and after transformation turned out great!
"I've placed multiple orders from Patio Lane, and am always very impressed with their custom options and quality products. This long window seat cushion fits perfectly in our upstairs bonus room/man cave. It is very comfortable, and so much better than the toy baskets that we used to have sitting there. I love that I could get a neutral cushion with contrast welting to match the curtains. Another job well done by Patio Lane!"

View of living room, with fireplace and window seat. Access to screen porch is through the glass door to the right of the fireplace, which is open to both living room and screen porch. The large driftwood sulpture above the fireplace was created by one of the owner's sons. The floor lamp visible in the left foreground was designed and built by the architect, John Whipple.

Toni has created a beautiful nook in her family's keeping room using a long window seat cushion made by Patio Lane. She chose Sunbrella Echo Ash fabric, a lovely neutral with texture, and opted for double welting for that extra touch. We are big fans of Toni's farmhouse style, and were happy to partner with her on this bench cushion for her new home. Nicely done!

When presented with the overall layout of the kitchen, this dining space called out for more interest than just your standard table. We chose to make a statement with a custom three-sided seated banquette. Completed in early 2020, this family gathering space is complete with storage beneath and electrical charging stations on each end.
Underneath three large window walls, our built-in banquette and custom table provide a comfortable, intimate dining nook for the family and a few guests while the stunning oversized chandelier ties in nicely with the other brass accents in the kitchen. The thin black window mullions offer a sharp, clean contrast to the crisp white walls and coordinate well with the dark banquette, sprayed to match the dark charcoal doors in the home.
The finishing touch is our faux distressed leather cushions, topped with a variety of pillows in shapes and cozy fabrics. We love that this family hangs out here in every season!

Family members enter this kitchen from the mud room where they are right at home in this friendly space.
The Kitchens central banquette island seats six on cozy upholstered benches with another two diners at the ends. There is table seating for EIGHT plus the back side boasts raised seating for four more on swiveling bar stools.
The show-stopping coffered ceiling was custom designed and features beaded paneling, recessed can lighting and dramatic crown molding.
The counters are made of Labradorite which is often associated with jewels. It's iridescent sparkle adds glamour without being too loud.
The wood paneled backsplash allows the cabinetry to blend in. There is glazed subway tile behind the range.
This lovely home features an open concept space with the kitchen at the heart. Built in the late 1990's the prior kitchen was cherry, but dark, and the new family needed a fresh update.
This great space was a collaboration between many talented folks including but not limited to the team at Delicious Kitchens & Interiors, LLC, L. Newman and Associates/Paul Mansback, Inc with Leslie Rifkin and Emily Shakra. Additional contributions from the homeowners and Belisle Granite.

Customer Photo: "Thanks so much Cushion Source! I was a little nervous about the corner cushion (needed to draw and send in a paper template for the non-standard size) but your team was GREAT! I was grateful to Tess & Ted for the recommendation to order from you guys. Our L-shaped bench gets A LOT of reading/music action, and also the occasional nap."
