Hi, I just finished painting our cabinets and now our kitchen counter looks really in need of an upgrade. I'm thinking a piece of granite. The space is approx 19 sq ft in total so not a huge amount of material would be needed, I'm also thinking about replacing the dishwasher with stainless finish and adding white subway tiles for a backsplash. Probably worth swapping out the kitchen sink too!

Anyone have good suggestions for materials and colors I should be looking at, trying to keep the budget down so price is certainly my main consideration.
