This TMR house had a tiny original kitchen which the family of four (two physicians and their teenage sons) had long outgrown. I had actually given the original kitchen a facelift about 12 years ago! Last year, an extension was added to the back of the house to allow for a new kitchen, breakfast area and family room. Our client had recently returned from a medical conference in Florence, Italy, where she had fallen in love with the palette and patina of this beautiful city. She asked us to incorporate the colours and shapes based on the architecture she had seen, while creating a timeless and elegant kitchen.
