Mexican tile

Hey historians out there! I want an authentic hacienda look. I bought handmade Mexican tiles and am wondering if a diamond pattern, or a straight pattern for the field tile would look more classic?

    Where are you putting the tile? The one at the top gives a stronger hacienda feel, but too much of it might get tiring to you really easily. I've seen tile like this used in small areas and it looks stunning. It still looks very hacienda but without over doing it or over powering the house.
