What color to paint my shutters and front door?

My husband and I just moved into a house with a very blah exterior. The brick is a rust color so I wanted to do navy blue for the shutters, a cobalt-ish front door, white trim around the door and white garage door. The roof is brown so I think the contrast will look strange. What should I do?
