It's a powder room so rarely used. We recommend treating it like any other piece of fine furniture. Clean up spills, etc. We do use a 2 part conversion varnish so it is extremely durable. That being said, we do not offer a warranty on wood tops installed in a bathroom. Knowing that, most customers elect to use stone or some other solid surface.

These can be coated to resist water, it depends on how much shine you are willing to have. Epoxy works great but can be glossy. I would guess from this picture that this vanity just has a couple of coats of varnish, meaning it can probably manage fine as long as water is usually wiped off and varnish reapplied occasionally. What I would be more concerned about is condensation from the bath/shower.

From past experience I would suggest an oil finish for the floors as the oils in bare feet will peel the finish off poly in a couple of years
