How to add interest to blank space between windows.

We are still working on multiple renovations including redoing the porch but need some ideas on what to do with that upstairs blank space between the windows. Behind that wall is a closet and the stairway but the closet extends over the stairway so we can't add a window. What else could we do?

Adding a gable to the front of the porch would pull the eye down and make it less noticeable.

Putting a large oversized wreath there seasonally.

A round faux vent.

A fake closed shutter.

What about some faux stone facings? Limestone veneer in a natural shade.

Grid all the windows, then add properly sized shutters.

I love that your home is very symmetrical. If you added a gable roof centered over the front door it would not only fill that void but also draw your eye visually to the entry/front door. Maybe something like these......

Thanks for the ideas. Was actually thinking of adding a alcove on the porch and shutters to the windows. Thought about making the windows bigger too. But depends on expense.

this is a very American looking house. place a large American eagle up there.

What if you just added shutters to the windows.... cheapest fix... your eye would draw to them instead of the hole in the middle?.... what color is your front door? looks dark but I can't tell.... maybe add a pop of bright color to draw the eye.
