My stair bannister is a Colonial brown stain (orange brown) with white spindles. I want to paint the bannister and posts leaving the white spindles. The edge of the steps also. I plan on replacing my old stair carpet with a sisal colored and beige narrow striped carpet. Does anyone know a good blackish paint color? Or a deep charcoal? Or any other recommendations? Thank you!
