My wife and I have been having design issues with our family room and bar area.

1. I want to remove the carpet and install wood floors but the room is mainly wood paneling. My wife suggested that we replace with a pattern carpet instead of real wood. The breakfast and bar area is tile and the entry way is wood which both lead to the family room.

Any ideas would help?

2. For the bar area I would like to keep the mirror but it looks dated. We have been thinking about replacing with bronze tile and updating with new shelving units. We are not going to remove the frame just the mirror only.

Any suggestions would help?
