Sit in it.... different materials hold heat in better....something to check on.

i wonder about this too. there's the tub where we can lie in fully, and there's the one where our upper body is lifted. which one is more comfy?

I have been looking online so there may not be an opportunity to sit in it. I was hoping someone somewhere had rated them :)

I would definitely "test drive" a new tub before purchasing. Material is one consideration as stated above but fit is another. The tub that has been the most popular with my clients lately is the Kohler Archer. Another favorite from Kohler is the Devonshire.

I'm not sure where you live but I would call around and see if you can locate the tub you are considering.. I've been know to take a client to a former client's home just to sit in their tub!

The best tub i seen (whole body is submerged) was an antique one when parents brought the house.

Can the Koehler archer include a shower? Or would it be weird to stand in it?
