every time I buy the curled parsley it seems the second year the plant is still curled but then it goes to seed the seedling are of the flat leaf variety!

Is parsley bienniel ... goes to seed the second year & the parent plant dies? The flat leaf parsley now is a 'weed' & I'm pulling it up by the handfuls as it is growing everywhere! Same with dill ... I had such a hard time at first to get any to grow & now I know why it is often called 'dill weed'... some almost 5 ft. tall this year!

Showed some dill to a neighbor (a non-gardener!) & when she smelled it she said 'it smells like pickles!' ... I asked if she had never heard of 'dill' pickles?!
