My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Since my questions messed up the other one, I feel I owe you all one. so regular robin, will start box with 5-10 cuttings, everyone will be asked to trade out at least 4 so they are kept fresh. 10 people at most will be excepted. sign up if interested. thankyou carol
Packaging: If it's a fresh cutting, I would just wrap them in some dry newspaper. Use lots if it's spiny :-). If it's a rooted plant, you can wet the newspaper and wrap just the rootball. I then put the rootball in plastic sandwich bag and tape it closed. This keep the roots moist, but the plant is exposed so it won't rot. Wrap this whole plant in dry newspaper. I usually tape the whole thing closed with masking tape and write the name on the tape (if known). Hope that helps. Paul

Even if they're a bit sad looking, they'll perk right up when potted. I took out 3 and put in 6. Thank you. Carol, check your email.
Thankyou Paul for your quick mailing, Rain please let us know when it arrives. Paul also added extras so there should be a nice selection. way to go Paul.

I was concerned that I would create a problem with the family emergency that I had but it looks like I came home in time. I wanted to let you know that I am back in LA. I went to VA to have one last visit with my father. He passed away on Father's Day. So this robin will give me plants to add to a Memorial Garden in his memory. He loved growing things and taught me so much about gardening. I hope that there is no catastrophe at PDDavis's place.
MimiB1, so sorry to hear of your dad's passing, yet I'm glad that you were able to spend time with him. Sounds like you could really use this robin now to cheer and inspire you. Rain
MimiB1 so sorry about your father, I am sure he is in a better place. PDdavis, I do need a response from you. keeping the robin would be mail fraud. I want to give you benefit of the doubt, but an ans is needed.
Come on Pddavis, do you want to be known as a dishonerable trader? people are looking forward to this robin, it was not a gift for you so, please send it on
Guess what guys! The Robin arrived at my house today! I will go through it when I go home from work this evening and try to get it out tomorrow! Looks like we are back in business! Brenda
Great, thankyou pddavis, just keeping us posted is a courtsey, that keeps everyone from worrying. are the plants ok Mimi?Glad to see it is moving again, lets all keep it moving and send with delivery confirmation and post. thankyou carol
Carol, just a thought, but maybe you can email the next person in advance to make sure they are still active and are ready to receive the robin. If they don't respond, maybe skip on to the next person.
Okay. The Robin is ready to fly. I will post a confirmation number when hubby gets back from the post office with it. There were a couple of "stressed" fellows in the box so I traded them out. I will do my best to nurse them back to health in my little special garden. I took out 6 total and put 11 back in. It will be heading for Big Tree 130 in GA.
Thankyou for being a good trader Mimi, I hope big tree is ready as I just e-mailed her today. thankyou for your concern rain. hopefully it will be stress free from now on I will take pauls advice and e-mail everyone before it goes to them. thankyou mimi for rescuing the sad ones. thankyou all lets enjoy a stress free robin
I'm happy the RR is on the way to Georgia. However, I am leaving this afternoon and won't be back until Saturday afternoon. My husband will be at home to get the cacti out of the box, but I won't be home to go through it and take out/add. With the 4th of July holiday coming up, it looks like I won't be able to mail the package until the 5th? Will this be a problem for anyone? Sorry, the timing of the packages arrival is bad timing for me. If the package does arrive today before I leave, I'll try my best to get it to the post office in time.
I got home this afternoon, went through the RR box, took out and added and will mail in the morning. Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town. Package will be on its way to Donna in Fla.tomorrow.
Thankyou, that was quicker than expected, hope you found something you liked. thankyou for your quick mailing and for keeping us posted. hope you are ready Donna. please let us know when it arrives. thankyou carol
They're on their way! Yes, I was able to get a few things I didn't have yet. I put in some winter hardy cactus (at least hardy in Zone 7) as I like the cactus outside more than the ones I keep inside. Such beautiful blooms. Anyway, here's the confirmation #: 0304 3490 0003 1251 0023
The robin is home, thankyou Lynn for the extras, I feel good not one plant I put in is still there. nice cuttings tho. thankyou all who played, hope you all got something new you will enjoy
