We created the stairs by using onyx which is a natural stone that is formed from layering deposits in warm springs and limestone caves. We lit the back of the stairs using fluorescent strip lighting to emphasize the translucent qualities and veining in the stone. The dark wood stair treads provide a good contrast with the lit onyx and the glass and marble handrail add even more detail.
