Our builder had a full time superintendent. When our house was going up, he had a total of 26 houses going up at the same time (in two counties).

He did not have a regular schedule and was not on-site nearly enough. Mostly after I called him regarding a problem.

Any builder who cant be onsite on a daily or regular basis benefits big having an onsite or working supervisor.That is if the builder actually gives a rats ars about the project(s) and customer(s)to begin with.Most do imho.

I've been on site 12 hours a day the last week. The clients moved in today. Check me into a rehab!

Our gc is on site several times a day, plus whenever I need him to be. He has 5 other houses going up as well as another large scale project as well.

Most times when I just dropped by the house during the day our contractor was either there, just leaving or got there right after me.

She went on 2 vacations during the build and I wasn't real comfortable with that but the rest of the time she was there daily.

I'm not sure how often our GC goes by. Our property is out in the middle of no where (not really but it is pretty far out there!)and I do not go out everyday myself. I know he goes by a few times a week, maybe more when work is going on.

I was curious if we were in or out of the norm. Thanks for the input everyone!
