I found a local importer that has boatloads of Super White. Well, boatloads compared to everybody else. My dh and I went. The place was located "in the bowels of hell" as we say.

Every slab he had was cracked. UGH!!! Not so bad if you didn't need a big piece for the island but I want a full size slab for the island with a cutout for a sink. He said you really couldn't do a cutout on a corner on one of these.

What a torturous experience. And they were stunning. My dh said "ohhh, so this is why you want this stone". Yes, this is why I want this stone, and why I was willing to travel to a place where I risked our lives to see those slabs. He must have had 15 - 20 slabs, about 3 different lots. He said they came from Italy and must have been damaged when being extracted. They all had the same crack.

Painful.
