A power washer is a dangerous thing in the hands of all but a select few,I my very own self am not in that select few.

This guy has some good stuff to strip/acid wash your project>>www.restore-a-deck.comYou can sand anytime you want, a Person could use a floor machine but I dont recomend it for a lot of reasons. An orbital sander should do it with 60/80 grit pads.

PT decking after using the RAD will take finish until your tired of puting it on. Its gunna be some thirsty stuff. J

We rented a walk-behind floor sander and it worked beautifully! DH liked running it so much, I had to really talk to him into letting me give it a go! LOL! No other prep was needed! Yes, we vacuumed the dust up but that was it.

I used my hand-held sander to reach the places the big one couldn't get to.

I followed up with a semi-transparent product called Ready Seal. This was last Summer. The product is AMAZING! It's held up to my wet PNW Winter/Spring like nobody's business--and this with only ONE coat! I plan on slapping another on this Summer. It went on effortlessly and there were absolutely NO over-lap marks. Can't say enough good about Ready Seal! I'll be using it on some unfinished Adirondack chairs this week. It's my new Holy Grail exterior stain.

Google Ready Seal--the gentleman I spoke to was great to deal with!

Thanks John and Catkin. Will look into these products.

catkin, just curious what type of wood you used the Ready Seal on? Thanks!
